UPDATE (22/03/16): Episode 5: Terminus brings the long-awaited closure to Hope's story.

Terminating issues.

Republique: Episode 5 of the story-based stealth/adventure, is available now for Windows and Mac, DRM-free on GOG.com.

Episode 5 concludes the series with a bang, bringing along numerous performance fixes and improvements. It also introduces new gameplay elements and some surprising narrative-branching that might even prompt you to replay the story from its very beginning.

Republique is a story of Hope - the girl who reaches out for your help. You'll view the world through scattered cameras and mobile devices observing, and assisting, Hope in any way that you can. With plenty of secrets and lore (and even easter eggs) to soak in, you'll slowly pick up on bits and pieces of the story of a fugitive heroine in a mysteriously oppressed dystopian future.

Republique Deluxe Edition includes the original Soundtrack, a six-part series The Making of Republique, and two game prototypes that eventually came to be Republique. If you're not ready to commit just yet, you can always get the upgrade later.

The package includes all 5 episodes of the game.

Discover the complete story of Republique, available now DRM-free on GOG.com.
Wow, that's maybe the earliest release I've ever seen on GOG! I'm still finishing my breakfast, good morning Poland! :o)

PS: any particular reason for that morning launch?

Stop it GOG, I can't keep up with all the new releases. I can't even read and watch them all, let alone play them. ;D

Also I wish devs/publishers would stop selling bonus content seperately and instead use the GOG way. Include goodies as an incentive. Bonus content is like hidden dlc.

Just thinking out loud.

Is this new by the way, being able to buy goodies seperately for games on GOG? Since the games often had bonus goodies as a bonus. Now they are making bonus goodies to sell seperately. It's nice that you can buy it seperately or with the base game calling it a deluxe version. Just a shame it's not standard practise anymore.

tssk. I don't mean to say this is a bad release, but I thought for a while it was republic: the revolution. Too bad.
This is a super early release!

I guess the publisher wanted to see it released at exactly this time. The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 was also released at a weird hour (midnight on UK).
Just a heads up for Linux users, there might be a Linux version in the future. I'll keep it wishlisted. :)

We would love to support SteamOS / linux! However, there is currently no ETA, but we are working with our middleware vendor to support the platform.

GOG.com: The game is now coming to Windows and Mac as a completely remastered experience with new controls, refined visuals and a single huge package.
So it has a huge package... That's probably more than I needed to know, really. o_O

The actual launch time is 9 PM Pacific Standard Time, which is quite early in Poland :D
So this is an interesting premisse, a decent port apparently. And ladies and gents, NO REGIONAL PRICING (from where I stand at least)!

I'll keep this wishlisted while waiting for reviews. :)

edit: mmh, the deluxe upgrade seems a bit high, but hey depending on the soundtrack (the only thing that matters in this), it could be worth it.

This looks like a fun game, but i will wait until all the episodes are released before buying it. Been burned by half completed abandoned games before.

the game's worth it; bought the iOS version ages ago, fantastic game. Brilliant story, graphics, and really cool writing. The soundtrack's alright, not the most memorable, but definitely the right kind of music for this game (ominous, electronic)

You get a soundtrack per episode in FLAC and MP3 :)

Well, the game is made with Unity 5 so the possibility of a Linux port is high but it's up to the devs, though :)
