UPDATE (22/03/16): Episode 5: Terminus brings the long-awaited closure to Hope's story.

Terminating issues.

Republique: Episode 5 of the story-based stealth/adventure, is available now for Windows and Mac, DRM-free on GOG.com.

Episode 5 concludes the series with a bang, bringing along numerous performance fixes and improvements. It also introduces new gameplay elements and some surprising narrative-branching that might even prompt you to replay the story from its very beginning.

Republique is a story of Hope - the girl who reaches out for your help. You'll view the world through scattered cameras and mobile devices observing, and assisting, Hope in any way that you can. With plenty of secrets and lore (and even easter eggs) to soak in, you'll slowly pick up on bits and pieces of the story of a fugitive heroine in a mysteriously oppressed dystopian future.

Republique Deluxe Edition includes the original Soundtrack, a six-part series The Making of Republique, and two game prototypes that eventually came to be Republique. If you're not ready to commit just yet, you can always get the upgrade later.

The package includes all 5 episodes of the game.

Discover the complete story of Republique, available now DRM-free on GOG.com.
Sounds very intriguing and looks great. I'll have to look into it.

Charon121: . The word "remastered" in the name implies there exists an older game called "Republique"...
avatar
Kardwill: Apparently, it's the port of a mobile game, hence the "remastered".

And yes, it sounds intriguing. Wishlisted until my backlog is not as clogged as it is now. :)
The original iOS game was made in Unity 4. The "remastered" version upgraded to Unity 5 and they "redid every art asset to make République look and feel like a PC game".

JudasIscariot: So you and everyone else can have the option of getting the additional items just like everyone else instead of having just the basic version of the game here and no choice as to whether to buy the Deluxe Edition or not :)
avatar
Zoidberg: Did you mean that by getting the deluxe you get a soundtrack per episode? I thought it was in the basic edition. If that's true then sorry for the misunderstanding. :P
Each episode has its own soundtrack consisting of around 11-13 tracks :) So once we get the other episodes, we *should* get more individual soundtracks :)
No GOG keys for backers?
Every time I see "Remastered" in blue among other topics, my first thought is "Homeworld!". Damn you. :P
Looks interesting. Nice to see how indie games have moved on from mere puzzle platformers.

Oh cool. :)
Looks cool, will have to await reviews first though, but yeah, I like the looks of this one.

Yeah I remember it now, I was bitching at its release cos it was only on android.

Anyone know what its like on a smartphone? Might buy it for mine.

Looks OK, wishilisted for now, waiting for: a) reviews, b) Linux version, c) completed game.
@game devs: Thank you for showing in-game footage rather than pointless cutscenes in the trailer.
How diverse are the controls and can all the controls be remapped?
The logo looks quite cool, with the accent aigu and the tail of the Q in a rotation symmetry as well as the triangualr indentation of the E's.
On first sight, this does not seem to be a clunker like the ported game Deus Ex: The Fall (shudders), but I'll await the reviews...
The graphics certainly look the part.

This one is a surprise. This game was pretty damn good on phone/tablet, I imagine it will be great on PC.
Dwight Schultz (killer7, Star Trek),

How could you not mention his most important role Howling Mad Murdock A-Team
The game looks very interesting. But with 500 games in my backlog (on GOG alone), it's a little too expensive for an instabuy. Wishlisted for now. Will buy it when it's on sale or when the final episodes come out.

Yeah, I saw that. "Port of a mobile game" is often an insult, but in my case, it was not. There can be good ports of good mobile games, too. ;)

Now this game looks interesting! Has anyone tried it before? It looks similar to the PS2 game "Lifeline."
What's the ETA on the remaining episodes? I'm still waiting for Kentucky Route Zero to finish.
