UPDATE (22/03/16): Episode 5: Terminus brings the long-awaited closure to Hope's story.

Terminating issues.

Republique: Episode 5 of the story-based stealth/adventure, is available now for Windows and Mac, DRM-free on GOG.com.

Episode 5 concludes the series with a bang, bringing along numerous performance fixes and improvements. It also introduces new gameplay elements and some surprising narrative-branching that might even prompt you to replay the story from its very beginning.

Republique is a story of Hope - the girl who reaches out for your help. You'll view the world through scattered cameras and mobile devices observing, and assisting, Hope in any way that you can. With plenty of secrets and lore (and even easter eggs) to soak in, you'll slowly pick up on bits and pieces of the story of a fugitive heroine in a mysteriously oppressed dystopian future.

Republique Deluxe Edition includes the original Soundtrack, a six-part series The Making of Republique, and two game prototypes that eventually came to be Republique. If you're not ready to commit just yet, you can always get the upgrade later.

The package includes all 5 episodes of the game.

Looks like something up my alley. A pity it's episodic, though. Seems to be the trend these days, and I'm still awaiting the other part of Broken Age. The word "remastered" in the name implies there exists an older game called "Republique"...

Zoidberg: So this is an interesting premisse, a decent port apparently. And ladies and gents, NO REGIONAL PRICING (from where I stand at least)!

I'll keep this wishlisted while waiting for reviews. :)

edit: mmh, the deluxe upgrade seems a bit high, but hey depending on the soundtrack (the only thing that matters in this), it could be worth it.

JudasIscariot: You get a soundtrack per episode in FLAC and MP3 :)

Daliz: Just a heads up for Linux users, there might be a Linux version in the future. I'll keep it wishlisted. :)

(from Steam discussions)

JudasIscariot: Well, the game is made with Unity 5 so the possibility of a Linux port is high but it's up to the devs, though :)
Oh OK, what's the point of the deluxe edition then? :P

I'm missing something, sorry. XP
I'm really intrigued by this one, but I don't buy incomplete games, I will wait until all episodes are released and then I will pounce.

So you and everyone else can have the option of getting the additional items just like everyone else instead of having just the basic version of the game here and no choice as to whether to buy the Deluxe Edition or not :)
Waiting for some reviews, might pick it up this weekend!
In the meanwhile a little warning: It´s actually more expensive to buy the deluxe edition than buying standard+upgrade, by a damn one cent! :D

Apparently, it's the port of a mobile game, hence the "remastered".

And yes, it sounds intriguing. Wishlisted until my backlog is not as clogged as it is now. :)

Wow. Such savings. Much economic skills. Very impress.

This was originally an iPad game? The gameplay is probably very basic, then?

Still looks interesting, though. I'll probably buy a copy once all episodes are out, and the game is fully patched up.

Also, among others, this game apparently features the English voice actor of Solid Snake... ? :o

Sounds good to me (figuratively and hopefully literally when I eventually buy this and get the FLAC files).
Looks interesting. Wishlisted for now.

Did you mean that by getting the deluxe you get a soundtrack per episode? I thought it was in the basic edition. If that's true then sorry for the misunderstanding. :P
Looks like a very promising game. Nice trailer and thankfully it doesn't charge any more money for the episodes 4 & 5..

ps. Bioshock anyone?
Wishlisted! :p
I noticed that in the normal edition, the literal part of the goodies consists of the game manual, but in the deluxe edition this seem to be missing from the goodies list. Is it an oversight? If so, can you include the game manual in the deluxe version as well? :)
Never heard of this one, will have to do some research. Apparently this package promises episode 1-5 but episodes 4 and 5 are not out yet, so this is technically a season pass. Also amusingly somebody mixed up episode 3 on the Wikipedia page for Sam and Max’s Night of the Raving Dead.
Looks interesting, but it's any good? Wishlisted for now. ^^
