I hate the warrior build. Too damn slow with most weapons.

Ranger is where it's at, spamming those slo-mo parries with poison damage. Pyromancer are extra skills to boost your damage against those enemies who are weak to fire, but you should never do a "pyro-only" build. Even your tankiest companion doesn't last long enough against most mobs for you to be able to play a "mage"

If you want to play in a different language than Chinese right click the desktop shortcut, select Properties and append " -lang=eng" (or whatever else you fancy and the game supports) to the target field. Without the quotation marks of course.

Yeah, I'm a "boy scout" and didn't want the issues that come along with pyromancy / demon. Also, I enjoyed playing as a tank but did it because I was told it was "impossible." I did start a ranger play-through originally, but just don't connect with that play-style.

I might do a tank when I do a "pure demon" run. But gonna take down the difficulty a peg. I'm currently finishing a "pure human" run with a Ranger build on Hard, just started Act 3. One on one fights are basically all about hitting the dodge button at the right time, which kicks off my Sekiro-honed instincts right now of "parry at the last moment". But especially against heavy enemies, it's just repetitive dodge, get a counter flurry, rinse, repeat. It's a competent combat system, just not very exciting.

Yeah, the 7 Ice lords turns out to be a bust. because the end game gets a bit rushed, but still a great pick-up for the price!

Buying it tomorrow, day one Greedfall would be great as well. :P

Chinese for me too. I don't feel like messing with it so I'll just wait until they fix it.

I had the same issue - my solution was to just delete those files. Game defaults to chinese for a reason I can't fathom. If it can't find chinese pack, it defaults to CZE for me (I've gone great lengths to make sure my windows locale is english, still from time to time some game manages to dig up my timezone or whatever and use that).

At least english is universal fallback.

Unfortunately Language is broken.. is uses (what looks like) chinese, despite english being selected as a language. German works (which I understand) but I'd prefer to play it in English. Interestingly enough, the audio is in english though, it is just the text (UI etc.. ) that uses the incorrect langue.

Update:

I fixed it myself... do this:
1. Go into the folder: Bound By Flame\packs\
2. copy, rename (or don't :) ) the file called loc_chn_data.spk to somwhere, or something.
3. Copy the file loc_eng_data.spk, and rename it to loc_chn_data.spk.

Then it will work.

The fault is probably in some file pointing to the chinese file when selecting English. But whatever :/
Either case.. this works.

Word of warning.. if you validate the files.. it will most likely "repair" your fix.
