The dhampir in the high castle.

<span class="bold">BloodRayne Betrayal</span>, a frantic side-scroller of supernatural slaughter, is available now DRM-free on GOG.com with a 50% launch discount when purchased alone or 75% alongside the rest of the saga.

Eventually, death comes for us all. But if your last image is that of an unnaturally sexy redhead clad in tight leathers, then you should probably consider yourself lucky. Also, a vampire. For the undead are the prey of choice for Rayne, the alluring dhampir (vampire/human offspring) with a flair for stylized death-dealing and superhuman acrobatics.

This time, Rayne's relentless hunt for blood-suckers has brought her to a remote castle teeming with misshapen horrors of the night. A great culling is about to begin, and our leading lady can't wait to put her trusty arm blades and deadly high heels into action — as she hacks, slashes, and blasts her way through the perilous hallways. BloodRayne has always been about gunning or cutting down hordes of monsters, and <span class="bold">Betrayal</span>'s sleek anime art and challenging platforming bring Rayne's blood-frenzy to life in spectacular fashion.

Rain death upon the ugly undead in BloodRayne Betrayal, DRM-free on GOG.com. The 50/75% discounts will last until January 28, 1:59 PM GMT.

VanishedOne: Despite the flak it's getting, this has more wishlist votes than quite a few recent releases.

I'll give you that. More votes than I expected at least.

In the TB-review on Youtube I saw that there are ingame checkpoints. Is it possible to load them on the next gaming session or how does save/load in BRB work?

Licurg: Again, it's really not a big deal or anything, you don't have to bother.
No, they should bother - somebody else might have similar/same problem as you, and Firek&Spol would know how to fix it next time.

By the way, instabuy and thank you :)
Damn ! Why all these waves of negative opinions about this game ? Can you just enjoy the fact that a new drm-free game is added to the GOG catalog ? I don't like dozens of games here on GOG, but I appreciate to see that more and more games, from obscure indies to AAA titles, become available DRM-free.

A DRM-free game is always a little victory, no matter if it's a good or a bad game !

Just tried couple of minutes to refresh my memory. It seems that those blood fountains are just for that session and when you exit the game you have to start that level from the beginning because you seem to always start from level selector. But they are not so horrible long and you can replay levels if you miss some stuff.

Well, this is more fun than I remembered.

It's just a totally different than those other 2 so perhaps that's why people are getting in the hate train.

Yay! About time, now we have all of the Bloodrayne games! (Although the movies can just stay away...)

I remember downloading the demo for the 360, then getting pissed when i realized i actually have the entire game but it goes into 'demo' mode and won't let you progress unless you paid the $5 or whatever, and i don't want to buy games locked to a console...

So I'll definitely pick this up at 75% off, once i see other game(s) i want.

I don't know what for, but you're welcome. I'll send them another ticket tomorrow.

So completed levels will be autosaved - sounds good to me. Thanks a lot!

I guess GOG will send the failed transaction-id to PayPal in order to check why your first attempt was rejected.
Since this occurs nearly every sale, some investigation in this issue would be useful. And since GOGs support is currently not flooded with hundrets of tickets about Paypal problems, it might be a good time for checking things.

In a nutshell yes. =)
Art Style look nice, but there are a lot of reviewers complain about the controls. Well with $2.5 i am going to take a risk.
This is great to see here DRM-Free, and I will agree that the controls take some time to get used to, but once you do the game is a blast. Definitely a fine entry in the rather polarizing Bloodrayne franchise if you ask me.
Am I the only one who can't play this game at all because it crashes on startup without network connection?

This seems to be another entry in the "doesn't work without Galaxy" list. Sadly removing or renaming galaxy.dll wich works with many of these games (like Ziggurat, for example) doesn't work with Bloodrayne.

@Judas: Before you ask, I have already raised a Support ticket.

Wait, you mean that some games need Galaxy installed to run ?!

I don't have Galaxy and it runs, but it does ask for an Internet connection when booted up which was reported by my firewall software.

I agree. Too much complaining. People should just shop elsewhere if they don't like it. Oh wait...GOG is the only dedicated DRM-Free site, so too bad you'll have to continue to shop here. And I don't count HumbleStore with their limited DRM-Free selection.
