Kelefane: I never played Blood. Is it worth a buy? Guessing if you like Doom you'd like Blood ?

GrandMasterGoat: I liked Doom but I loved Blood more. I do not care for the version of Blood however and will continue to use BloodGDX.

Jace Hall who was part of the team who originally created Blood tried to get permission from Atari to remaster/remake Blood before Nightdive, it's a shame how he's not the one working on it now.
Interesting.

Blood is a great game;just be aware it is a notriously tough game; The easy setting (Still Kicking) would be a medium setting on most other games.

Blood is a great game. It can be tough as others have said. For your first time I'd most likely say set up the original with NBlood or the lesser GDX as Fresh Supply has alot of issues at the moment that can spoil it.

(The original comes with Fresh Supply now as it was delisted when Fresh Supply got released here, yet Steam still has the original for sale.)

It does? Like what, I haven't had any issues so far.

I'll be honest, they're mostly minor from my experience and my one star review on the page may have been rash, but it's mostly stuff you notice when playing it back-to-back with the original.

-It's not accurate enough to work with many mods, Death Wish is a well known one that's brought up a lot.
-Movement isn't the same, though this can be good or bad depending on your taste. This results in issues like being able to get to a place or two you couldn't in the original.
-Autoaim can be a little too pinpointed.
-There are some pretty minor but still glaring differences, for example dynamite doesn't explode in a ball in midair.
-Minor visual bugs.
-Physics issues, for example enemies should typically be thrown much further back when killed by something that knocks back.
-The occasional wrong sound (cultists)
-MIDI isn't the best quality, apparently this has to do with Roland wanting money?

None of the already-recommended things have most of these issues (GDX's renderer can produce some visual issues rarely though and can have some mouse-related issues), so it's mostly a matter of which is better right now. To Kaiser's credit, he did say that he is looking at all the issues and will tend to them. Things will eventually be better.

There are loads. But the ones i'm having are: (And yes I got the GOG and Steam versions)

Changing video settings cause the game to blank screen. (GOG & Steam.)

Saving quick causes the game to freeze for a few moments (GOG & Steam)

Saving in menu causes the game to freeze for a few moments, also compared to the original you have to name or re-name each save every time you save also the menu doesn't auto close. (GOG & Steam)

Not really a glitch but still annoying - Demos are missing.

also not really a glitch - the hud for NBlood is alot better than anywhere else. If you want a screenshot to compare then let me know.

But there are alot of other glitches such as graphics corruption, multiplayer crashing, CD music not working, game not playing music properly at all. (I've not had any of them but the Steam forums, where the developer posted a issues thread is full of them.)

Interesting thanks, I guess I've had the game freezing when saving yeah. I just don't save that often. xd
Only thing I miss is a counter showing kills and secrets discovered while in the level and pictures showing what you were seeing. BloodGDX had both these things iirc.

As does NBlood. It also doesn't need Java. Thats why I dont use GDX.
As someone who bought the original game on here it may be awhile before I buy this remaster. My only issue is I feel they should have included the original as an extra.

I don't think it does. However here is a link to the official forum thread for it, so feel free to ask the developer:
