Update: Classic versions of Bioshock and Bioshock 2 are now available. If you already own Bioshock Remastered or Bioshock 2 Remastered, you can download classic versions directly from your GOG library.

BioShock™ and BioShock 2™ Remastered are finally available DRM-free.

The legendary shooters emerge from somewhere beyond the sea, dripping with that deliciously claustrophobic atmosphere of decay, corruption, and human ambition gone wrong.
Widely considered as the gold standard for story-driven shooters with light RPG elements, they have been remastered to feature higher resolution textures and models, director's commentary, and several other additions that ensure time will never wash them away.
Pump yourself full of plasmids, pump your enemies full of bullets, and dive right back into Rapture's beautifully rotten halls.
Being last generation, and not something currently supported by 2k I fail to see why Infinite was not included unless they are doing a remaster of it now that will be released before long.

MBiL_248: That's great, Minerva's Den is a fantastic DLC. Btw. at the moment there are no Galaxy achievements for Bioshock 1, probably a mistake?

JudasIscariot: That's fixed and should be showing up within the next 20 minutes or so :)
Thanks! :-)

Sometimes you are really fast. ;-)

tinyE: i've heard mixed reviews on Infinite.

Then again, when AOE 1 came out I heard mixed reviews on that and it's one of my favorite all time.
infinite is an excellent game. i've played it through a few times. it's not perfect...but it has a lot going on for it. worth it for sure.

darthspudius: the originals had borked physics. Moving objects etc look like a part of a slide show in the original PC versions. That was fixed in the remasters and not present in the console versions.
It was fixed with a simple tweak in the originals too:-

1mikey1: 10/10 on Steam. Doesn't sound mixed to me.
Steam doesn't use 10/10 scores. Also, after the hype rage died down more people start coming out with some actual critical opinions about the game. It's basically an average modern shooter with a "deep" story line that gave some gamers the "this game proves games are art" mentality
Great additions to the catalog, I had so much fun finishing the first one many years ago.

It was eventually fixed, but not implemented officially. Took quite some time for that to be modded.
Would you kindly... add those to GOG Connect? :P

Sums up Infinite perfectly. I thought that it was a very bland (but nice to look at) sausage.

It's not a bad game, it has nice art style and competent shooting mechanics, but lacks a punch and heart to it. It's just that the whole marketing and PR amde it sound like it's the gaming second coming, while anybody who pointed out any flaws or plot holes was raged at by fanboys taht calimed "you just don't get it, it's to deep for you".

I think the game would gain allot from droping the Bioshock IP and being it's own new title.
I cannot resist adding these to my GOG Library despite having them for PS3 and that other place already. I've been holding off playing any PC version hoping they'd find their way to GOG. Thank you for making that happen, GOG and 2K! And for releasing the classics as a bonus down the road! :D
Instabought for me too.

I agree. I've played through it twice and it's far from the worst thing ever. I just found it a little shallow and a bit pretentious. But for the sake of a fiver, I can't complain too much haha.
Can we please have the Mac versions made available too?

Both Bioshock games are brilliant, and they're available – in both original and Remastered versions – for Mac as well as PC. But GOG has only the PC versions. It's always really frustrating when that happens. Please add the Mac versions as well, if you possibly can.
No frikkin´ way! :O

Instabuy, right after I get home thank you, GOG&2K, this is my Christmas present; I wanted to see Bioshock here for such a long time!

I am in seventh heaven right now! :DDD
