GOG.com: Release: Between Horizons
Into the forum with you.
Had this wishlisted for ages, and (pre) bought over the weekend.

Really looking forward to digging into this over the easter weekend.

Absolutely love the asthetics.
This could be really good (if it's anything like Lacuna).
Saiting patiently for some reviews to show up :)
For those who are not sure yet the updated demo will be available here shortly as well.
Finally a review of the game!

The reviewer, just as myself, loved Lacuna, but this new game apparently is nowhere near it :(

I like the looks of it but I think I'll wait for the demo based on the comments here.
Is this the intermission between Zero Dawn and Forbidden West.

Just finished the game and decided to watch this review to see if I agree ...

1) I did not experience a single glitch in my almost 10 hours of playtime.
2) I don't find the UI uninteresting but using categories to sort the different clues would have made things better. However in the game it is pretty obvious which clues you need and which are just there for information so it was not a big problem for me.
3) I have to agree that the fast travel system was a bit confusing as was the map in general ... especially in the beginning. You will get used to it but it is highly unusual to use fast travel and not arriving exactly where you want to fast travel, In fact everytime I traveled I had to access the map to see which way I have to go now.
4) I completely disagree with the chartacters or the story itself being uninteresting but of course this is not a noire story like Lacuna was. The reviewer mentiones Lacuna countless times in his review and imo he tries too hard to compare those two which might be the reason why he was so disappointed with the game. In any case "interesting characters" might mean different things for different players.

Once again Digi Tales tells a story that is not about good and evil or black and white but rather about people and their motivations. The choices you can make when playing the game - along with solving cases right and wrong - are often not that easy to make and they have an influence on the ending. I really enjoyed my stay on the Zephyr despite some minor issues regarding the UI :)

I am liking it much more than Lacuna. Similar in terms of gameplay, but with a little more freedom of movement and choice, and much better appearance. And the game autosaves more frequently, so consequences are not so easy to avoid as in the previous title...
However, I stumbled into a bug that has halted my progression, as the game freezes when entering certain bunk at a moment of the game. Waiting for a patch to be able to keep playing.
The one thing it has in common with lacuna is the gameplay controls.
But it's two completely different stories. If one expects Lacuna II, of course he'll be disappointed.
It's all about expectations. Play it for what it is and not for what you want it to be, it's worth it.

True. For this reason I never watched previews. You should actually approach a game without any expectations and, if possible, with a clear head and enough time. In my experience, this is the only way you can have the most fun.
