Berserk Boy, a high-speed action-packed platformer with metroidvania elements, is now available on GOG with a -20% discount!

In the distant future, a mad scientist and his army of darkness seek to enslave the people of Earth. Hope for all humanity rests with The Resistance, but are they enough? Enter Kei, a rookie hero who is transformed by mysterious Orb energy into BERSERK BOY!

Check it out!
I was waiting for this, nice to see it finally here!
Congratulations to the dev team for the GOG release, but could I make a request? Please bring the soundtrack too!

Thanks
GET THE INTRUDER! GET THE HUMANOID!

INTRUDER ALERT, INTRUDER ALERT!

...Oh, wrong Berserk.

This literally looks like Megaman at Home, which already exists in the form of Mighty Number 9, 20xx/30xx, and frankly is a well saturated niche of the action platformer genre.

Unless this is Gunstar Heroes at home, in which case good surprise.
Surprising and all the more glad to see this show up here after all, after it got quietly delisted a while back.

Is this for real? I mean, I guess it's better than fake reviews pretending to be actual users, but still, come on...

LOL

No kidding, I like the design and the atmosphere of the 90's arcade games. To the wish list the new MEGA MAN X for PC.

Thanks to the developer (BerserkBoy Games) and GOG.

Nope. This is a cross between Mega Man and Sonic, with some elements of the X series and Zero series thrown in. It's not Mega Man at home, especially when I even find it better than inticreates Gunvolt series games. You do have a base as well, just like in the Zero series. It's setup similarly too. There are also different armors with their own abilities that you have to switch between. It's not Mega Man, it's the true spiritual successor that MN9 was not, an absolute failure.

Additionally, 20xx/30xx are Roguelite. This is a true action platformer in the sense of things, no random layouts or Roguelite madness. You really do like to assume things, don't you? BTW, the dev of 20xx said it would be a pain to bring it over because of Galaxy. I spoke to him about it personally.

In any case, I highly recommend this one to all Mega Man fans as there's no way you'll be disappointed here. It's among the best and I enjoyed playing it. Maybe a bit on the easier side of things though - but definitely a TRUE MEGA MAN SUCCESSOR! I'm buying it again here just for support.

Will get this later this week, there's not enough games like Mega Man out there.
I'm just going to trust this review and pick it up tomorrow :)
I remember playing (and thoroughly enjoying) the demo for this what feels like ages ago. Glad to see it finally released. Will get it eventually, once my recently expanded backlog shrinks back down again.
To be fair, this game can be completed in a single sitting unless you want to collect all the Berserk medals. From intro to Endgame took about 3-4hrs.
Love the vibe here, might have to check it out.
The game looks like a solid platformer. Developers though, are behaving childish and unprofessional.
Better late than never! Nice catch, GOG :D
The GOG store page does not list Cloud Saves and Achievements as features of this game, but they are listed as features elsewhere.

Is the GOG version missing one or both of these features? Or is it just a matter of the GOG store page not having been updated, and it does indeed have them?

If it doesn't have them, then why doesn't it? I see the the dev has written a review of his own game here on GOG, so from that I assume he will be reading this thread and therefore will hopefully answer these questions.
