Loger13: This is not the remaster. It is the re-release, with a compatibility update. It's even clearly written in the announcement.
ssling: Isn't that exactly what most remasters do? Adds compatibility, hi-res/widescreen support, some bugfixes and small graphical improvements.

The term "remaster" kind has been muddled during this past decade.
But it is indeed true that remastering can be done in pretty any style.
One could call a conversion of VHS-cassette into DVD a remaster especially if there is also some loudness equalisations and other small image-quality-edits done onto it.
Then there is of course the opposite where we can outright call things as "digital ruination" and "digital destruction" which unfortunately seems to become more and more trendy nowadays...
As for the term "re-release", that would more of apply to things has been re-published without any sort of editing, like say a new print of books or board-games.
