BATTLETECH: Urban Warfare is now available DRM-free.

City combat is center stage in this expansion, introducing new street features including blocked lines of sight, collateral damage rules, and all sorts of new destruction. Weigh the hazards and benefits before going into urban battle, though - explosions, floods and more await. With new urban challenges, the return of lost technologies, new ‘Mechs, vehicles, encounters and flashpoints, Urban Warfare takes the BATTLETECH experience to new, gritty heights.
I was just thinking of making a 'is this a Paradox Interactive title?' joke, but then I realized that it indeed is. :P
It looks so good!
Just like the 90s Front Mission.
No discount for loyal customers?

I guess that everyone buying this now is a loyal customer, because otherwise you woudn't have the base game.

There was a discount for preordering the first three expansions via https://www.gog.com/game/battletech_season_pass (39.99€ instead of 49.99€), and even at 49.99€ it should be cheaper than buying the individual expansions (except when waiting for discounts)
New map, two mechs, new game mechanics...meh, seems kinda boring for 20 bucks. Nice to see Paradox doing a same day multi-distributor launch, though. Maybe I'll pick up Flashpoint, as that one seems to offer substantially more playable content per dollar.
Do we have an ETA on the Linux version? It's not showing up for download in my account.
As a backer for the base game I felt I got my monies worth but i'm a frugal gamer and I tend to wait for discounts on DLC. It gives me time to absorb community reception and if the additional content is worth my time.

Battletech is still a great game and I would buy the dlc right away but I don't have time and so I will wait for a price drop.
I hope they introduced a better cover system to take advantage of the urban setting, as in the base game was a joke (I.e. totally absent).
This game has a very poor art direction, HAWKEN is the best mech game visually IMO.

Not sure what you are talking about. Cover system is very present, depending on the terrain features (forest, dust cloud, etc.) you get a flat 20% damage reduction.

If your referring to the mechanical designs, they are are old. Like 30 years old. Battletech has been around a really long time. If you are referring to the overall look, then I sort of disagree. I only played Hawken when it first came out. Every level looked really good, but they all looked exactly the same. Did they fix that? I mean, that game was around for a long time, so maybe they fixed it at some point. I stopped playing it pretty quick because I didn't like how it felt more like Unreal Tournament than a mech game. Thats just me though. Im not saying its a problem.

Never ever noticed it.

What I've noticed is laser and missiles go trough hills and other terrain features.
Nor I've seen any noticeable effect of cover.

Even if present, was so well done, I've stopped trying to get into cover, as;

1. Could not see any benefit
2. Was taking longer route to get in cover, while ganging on adversary was much more effective

Cover was and is a VERY good tactic ... with Bulwark you get 40% DR there so are really well defended. Sure fire goes through partial cover, but not everything. You see cover areas as a green dot on the ground.
I downloaded the Urban update and now my game crashes at the sorty loading screen.... update please... fix the bug
