Recently I just started playing Baldur's Gate, and this game looks a bit similar in visuals and gameplay mechanics.

For those veteran players of Black Isle Studios's games, how is Balrum compared to the old BG classics?

Could be good, depending on how much micromanagement the homestead needs. Can you recruit hirelings or start a family? Or is the homestead always a you-and-your-pet situation?
Looks a lot like Eschalon. Complete with slow walking speed.
This certainly looks interesting.
