The timeless soundtracks from Baldur's Gate EE, Baldur's Gate II EE, <span class="bold">Siege of Dragonspear</span>, and Icewind Dale EE are now available for purchase, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 66% launch discount.

As a huge part of their undying charm, the soundtracks for these RPG classics deserve a place in every fan's playlist, even more so after getting enriched for the purposes of their Enhanced Editions.

- <span class="bold">Baldur's Gate EE OST</span> includes 33 of Michael Honig's haunting themes, plus 7 new ones composed by Sam Hulick.

- <span class="bold">Baldur's Gate II EE OST</span>: A massive game needs a massive soundtrack. There are 66 tracks here, composed by Michael Honig, Iron Zur, and Howard Drossin for the original game and Throne of Bhaal, plus 15 new ones provided once again by Sam Hulick.

They always said that Baldur's Gate 3 is their main goal. Trust me. They will ruin that series completely if they make BG3.

I have the original soundtracks from the earlier releases here. I would like the FLAC versions, and the extra tracks may be good. I would consider upgrading my OSTs if there were some sort of discount for those of us that already have the original soundtracks.

SpiderFighter: Yep. Sadly, the loss of drawing points like this that once made GOG special, are now homogenizing it into just another digital games storefront. I've noticed many, many games in the last year or so that have nothing else packaged with them. Time marches on, I guess.
If Beamdog is licenced to sell anything BG/IWD related and make profit, i don't see GOG having to do anything with that. Even though it may suck for those who don't own the classic GOG versions, i guess that's how things work with IPs. Also, this applies to many new releases; devs/pubs noticed that soundtracks can be sold for extra monies (deluxe editions etc) which means that GOG can't offer them for free like they used to. Having said that, what baffles me is when a game ships without a manual... I *love* well-written manuals (such as the original manual of BG for example), even when they're not actually needed to understand a game.

Quite right.

If this was GoG's doing they would also be selling the soundtracks for The Witcher separately. CDPR owns GoG, after all. If this was their business-model this would be a thing too.

Thankfully I own both Neverwinter Nights DRM free, stored on my local file server and backed up offline. Beamdog cannot have them back.

So, for the privilege of owning the "DRM-free" (/sarcasm) soundtracks here, we pay 100% of the cost, while everywhere else it's with a 66% discount right now? Sigh.

If you want to buy the soundtracks you are only "allowed" to buy them IF you buy the EE games first.
According to a post on that link, the soundtracks here are supposed to be discounted to match the Steam sale prices.

Why? I own the original Baldur's Gate games here, and they're still in my library (alone with the enhanced versions). To my knowledge, GOG has never removed a purchased game from a customer's library.

That has nothing to do with Beamdog. It's GOG's fault. They count soundtracks as DLCs and so you can only buy them when you own the base game. Doesn't make much sense, but that's how they do it for years.
