Breja: I'm a little confused, to be honest. Not having regional pricing used to be something GOG was quite proud of, and when they introduced regional pricing many people got very angry. And now I see people complaining about the lack of regional pricing. So which is it, GOG community? Do we hate regional pricing or outrigh demand it? :D
Cavalary: Depends on:
a) Whether you take a principled stance about it or not;
b) Whether you gain or lose from it.
If it's a matter of principle (as it is for me), you lash out against it no matter what. If it's not, then if you end up paying more (as in Europe), you complain, if you end up paying less (often less than half or even less than a third, as in Russia, former CIS countries, South America, Mexico or China, but sometimes slightly lower prices also apply to countries like Australia or Norway on GOG), you demand it :/
Edit: Woops, missed that there was one more page and the matter had been largely dealt with. (Then again, when it's brought up I tend to "see red", so figures I'd have missed the rest and rushed to reply... Ah well.)
Well, you are take only your point of view, you think that everyone should paid the same as everyone is in the same condition, but take it like this, videogame companies will thake as unit of measure to somebody like Jeff Bezos or Bill Gates, they can pay $50.000 easily, so now that will be the standar $50.000 for a game, normal people wouldn't be able to buy it because is too expensive, but they can pay $60, a fair price, for a salary man. Here is the same situation, here the avarage salary is a third or a forth of a the avarage salary from somebody in the US or Europe, you can paid the regular price but we can't, because represent a big take of our money that almost nobody have. i explain above that we have severe taxes too, so we end up paing $100 for a $60 game or like in this case $48 fpr a game that people from Europe or United State think it's expensive at $30. Like I said, we earn just a third of the avarage salary on US that make it even more expensive something that is already expensive.
Now there are two options: you can allow us to pay less money, let say reduce the price to $20 or $15 so we can contribute legally with something. Or like most people did before the reginal prices, they juat pirated the game and didn't contribute with nothing. I mean, it just took me two seconds to google it, there is some Skidrow version to download for free. Besides is way cheaper in other place like Steam almost a gift, it's something with GOG only.
