Wodenke: Highly subjective, not to mention blowing things out of proportion, isn't it.

The multiplayer part of a recent game released on GOG is tied to Galaxy, what else is new?

The vast majority of people purchasing games on GOG do so primarily for the singleplayer offline experience, and couldn't care less about multiplayer.

"DRM scam"... behave.
Well, wether or not most people "care" about multiplayer shouldn't be the measuring stick, should it?
Personally though, I don't really have a problem with multiplayer being tied to Galaxy but I agree that there should be some kind of option for offline LAN gaming.

I bought the game a minute after release because I want to see more high profile games coming to GOG and buying it is the only thing that matters in the eyes of devs and publishers.
The main culprit for not having a release or "a delayed release" is for most publishers (there are always exceptions, for example FromSoftware... a die hard DRM lover, creating games where it is easy to die) simply the sales or how much coins GOG is offering them... which is rather on the lower end compared to some (mostly Steam, Switch or Playstation) other platforms. So, yes... gamers should buy more on GOG, definitely useful!

Some publisher certainly willing to offer DRM free stuff, even on "AAA" (which is actually less rare than some people might expect) is Square Enix but GOG rarely is releasing their games. I assume their games simply are considered "high risk" for GOG because it may not hit the taste of most GOG customers, which can be a bit weird. A pity because i think it would give us more great Japanese games, which is still "on the low side" on GOG. In general, they would offer DRM free, but surely not for free... or not without proper sales.

People vote with their wallets... simply how it works.

GOG.com:
All mentions of what I assume is supposed to say something like "New Game +" on the store page were flubbed, and currently just say "New Game " (with that extra space after game). You should probably double-check what they're supposed to say and fix 'em. : )
Thank you GoG!
Instabuy!
I generally like pretty much everything Focus puts their name on, so this is auto-wishlist material at the very least.
Will look into it later.

Appropriate discount for a AA title... bought!
Does anyone know where the save files are stored?

Check under %APPDATA%/local or something like that.

Not there.

I've looked in \%userprofile%\Documents\My Games\Atlas Fallen\ and there is a save folder there, but it is empty despite my game having saved and I can load those saves.

There is no Deck 13 folder or Atlas Fallen Folder in %appdata%\Local\, %appdata%\Local Low\ or %appdata%\Roaming\

Saw something about %appdata%\Local\Packages on a quick search. Otherwise the dev says on Steam that they're in the Steam folder, so if you have Galaxy maybe it's in the Galaxy folder, or otherwise wonder if it won't create a Steam folder even if the game's not from Steam, or a Galaxy folder even if you don't have it.

Packages is probably for the XBox Game Pass version. It appears you are correct. It created a folder in the Galaxy folder even though I'm not playing through Galaxy! Thanks!

The save location is
