deph_: Hey guys, I have an issue in the menu I cannot see the menu buttons, legends are just hidden, have anyone this problem too? Please advise. Thanks in advance.

Flaose: Apparently the menus are broken for some people if Windows isn't set to English. That might be it.
A bug like that in a modern game is really unbelievable.
Especially in a genre which has its most loyal fanbase in non-English speaking countries.

mattymuc: Yes, you're right. Wings Remastered is not in my GOG library because I did not got a key as a backer... I'm happy I got a key for Satellite Reign from devs.
In future I will only back games when a GOG key is promised.

PixelBoy: They actually did get GOG keys for the emulated version (not the remastered), so they shouldn't be counted as 100% anti-GOG. Of course, they have kept the keys to themselves for half a year (or more) now, and even specifically asking for them won't apparently help backers to get those.
I asked Cinemaware every month when we get the keys, they already have... They have a terrible customer/backer support!
A big thank you to Pencil Test Studios for distributing GOG-keys to all backers!
The game got bashed for being very bad in a review over at RPS. :-(
Indeed, thanks to Pencil Test and everyone involved for resolving backers' issues (now we can get it on GOG).

In response to the backers who have been disappointed that there was not an option to receive your game through GOG, we spent the last day working with the Humble Store, GOG and our publishing partner Versus Evil to try and address the issue. There is now an option on your Armikrog download page to download the game from GOG. If you go to your page you'll see a tab marked GoG next to the Steam tab. Enjoy.

I don't know. It's 100% until they actually hand out the keys... I'm not holding my breathe. I like living. Even if they finally distribute the Amiga keys, it doesn't do a lot to fix the fact that they've been not only unwilling to provide GOG keys for the main game that was backed, but they also created a buggy, poorly supported and updated product. Let's not even get into the Rocket Ranger Remaster, which I can happily say I was smart enough not to back...
Oh this sounds bad. I'm glad I didn't buy it yet. And i think I'll hold off for a good while.
There should be an update with bug fixes coming out tomorrow on GOG.

priestlyjudas: hi guys,

For some unfathomable even to myself reason, I had this game pre-ordered. I don't normally like, or am good at adventure games. I guess I mainly wanted to support GoG. So, yesterday I fired up the game as soon as I could, and promptly proceeded to get stuck at the second possible puzzle - the one that comes after the main hero 'climbs up a floor' in a manner of speaking and has to arrange the correct objects in a 3x3 grid in order to open a door. So what I'm saying, is there a walkthrough out already? Either way, even if I never play this game again I'd be fine with having payed as much for it, since it's a completely new (to the best of my knowledge) art style, that has not been explored much.
Those symbols are unique for each game you play. Just visit the areas you have access to and you'll get the clues :-)

With hotfix for Macs, a proper patch will show up next week.

EDIT: The hotfix is on GOG servers available to download.

According to changelog looks like it only fixes the menu bug and OS X executable. But there were more issues reported in-game.

Yikes, I'm glad I didn't back this game up when I saw it a few years ago!

I backed the game on Kickstarter, though I haven't yet received my download code, so I haven't played it yet, but I'm hoping that the game will still prove enjoyable once some of the bugs have been fixed.

Honestly, a lot of the problems that people have had (excluding bugs) seems to be similar problems that were present in the Neverhood... which I have generally always been fine with.

The Neverhood had rather oblique puzzles at times... the story was never really the most important part, unlike some narrative driven point and clicks. The cursor was never context sensitive and didn't change when over an interactive object. There was generally little interaction and Klaymen never talked (until of course the very end).
The length was short, being able to be beaten in ~2 hours if you know what you're doing. etc. etc.

If these are really the only major problems with Armikrog, then I'll be happy. I backed it because I loved the Neverhood and ultimately wanted another stop motion game in that style, by the same creators. To me it sounds like it very much fits this bill and those who have problems likely never played, or enjoyed the Neverhood. Which is fine, but the criticism of Armikrog is probably a little unfair, considering that the whole point was to make another game like it, for the fans. I can understand some of those design choices may be a little dated now, especially for those that never played the Neverhood, but for fans, it sounds okay!

I just hope all of the bugs get resolved soon! :)

Ok, I didn't play the game, and it seems to be quite short and pretty buggy for now. But you should never base an opinion on a John Walker piece. Specially on an adventure game. And unfortunately he seems to do every adventure game review on RPS. And he trashes them all. That's his thing.

To get your code, you need to submit your e-mail that you used when backing here: https://www.humblebundle.com/resender
