Anima Flux is a co-op metroidvania with two genetically enhanced soldiers – and it’s now available on GOG, with a -20% launch discount until December 17th, 2 PM UTC!

Fight your way through swarms of mutants through a desolate, dystopian space city and save humanity's last stronghold, if, of course, anyone is still alive...

Now on GOG!
Congratulations to the dev team on the GOG release.

Looks nice and was actually interested on the eventual release after seeing some of the stuff on Steam.

Thanks GOG for the release
Looks great, but it seems more oriented to coop gaming than single player, so not for me.
Meeh, just another no name platformer from a no name developer using the stupid (and probably telemetry filled) unity engine.

Wake me up when you have the two italian plumbers or the supersonic hedgehog!
Getting a lot of Aeon Flux vibes from this for sure.
Reminds me of Aeon Flux, and given I found that show more visually repellant than almost any other animated show of the 90's, can't say this one's for me.
Looks great! The odds of ever finding someone to play couch co-op with aren't great though, so will wishlist for now. At first glance, it doesn't look like playing in singleplayer locks you out of any achievements at least.
Neat. The PCs are practically unreadable from background elements. That's impressive!
Wanted to be bit noisy about the requirements, no way this game would need a minimum 6 core CPU and a GTX 1070 but then looked at the requirements for MAC and all make sense.
Already have an idea for the inevitable future "remastered" edition of this game:

I'd call it ... Anima Reflux.

I don't really follow gaming rigs hardware evolution that closely and while it feels a little high for what the game is, it's not exactly a wallet buster either in 2024.

You can get a cpu that meets the reqs for ~100$-150$ nowadays and the gpu was close to top of the line... about 6-7 years ago. Nowadays, you can get a gpu for 200-300$ that meets these reqs.

So yeah, you need a gaming rig (and ideally, it shouldn't be for a game like this), but not a high end one.

Anyways, I think posters are overly harsh with this one. I think it looks cool and I definitely like the fact that it has local co-op which is less common nowadays.

Aeon Flux was an interesting effort that was a little weird, but that didn't take itself overly seriously either. Not a must-watch, but it was fun for a bit.

I've heard there are these things called "friends," which are apparently people who will hang out and do stuff with you.

It's clearly just what they tested the game on; as Dark_art_ mentioned, the Mac requirements (2-core i5, HD 3000) are more accurate. It wouldn't need significantly better hardware just because it runs on Windows.

Ah, I see. I misread him. Should have read it twice.
