In the case of No One Lives Forever specifically, you need to direct all of your anger at Warner Bros. I say this because Night Drive wanted to and tried to revive the game. Somewhere along the way while they were negotiating with Warner Bros, Activision, and 20th Century Fox, they got an unfriendly letter from the Warner's legal department that stopped all efforts to do so.

It's a similar problem as with the DOS era Dune games. Some of us would like to see them back in print, but that's not going to happen because of the one guy who is exercising his right to block them from going back in print.... which I'm only mentioning because I'm not familiar with the situation with Doom 2016, Crysis, and Dead Space 2 except to say that someone would still have ownership rights, and anyone that wants to republish them is going to have to deal with those entities.

Although I find this launch beyond distasteful I guess I can help you with that. Judging by the synopsys on the GoG post ("it was quite a shock to learn that she is now engaged"), both are likely the same character, only before the marriage and then after the marriage. Wow, if it's so bad even Steam banned it, then, being a kid and his aunt, there's likely some pedo stuff in this thing.

I might be an outlier in this opinion, but as long as we are talking about something that is purely imaginary and no real people are involved, I don't really care from a moral standpoint.

What happens in the imaginary space stays in the imaginary space. If we start policing what happens there, well, while I may not be into the above, I am certainly guilty of mass murder and genocide which arguably is worse.

Overall though, I just think this game looks very uninteresting.
