MarkoH01: Two questions for those who were able to test the game.
1) Are there subtitles in the videos?
2) Are the videos fullscreen or - as it looks in some of the screens - just a quarter of the screen with a still frame around them?
mdqp: 1) No, with the exception of the protagonist's inner monologue (and you can't turn them on or off, you get fixed no subtitles for regular dialogues and always on subs for the thoughts of the protagonist).
2) When you set the option to zoom in (as opposed to playing in the "tv set" overlay) I get close to fullscreen, with very small black bars on the side (the ratio seems to be close, but not quite 16:9).
In case you are interested, the game also doesn't allow you to skip the videos in any way (which is what's bothering me to no end, and the reason why I'll probably refund). You do get checkpoints every now and then, though, and you can pick any you unlocked, it seems.
Okay, no subtitles is a no go for me. I am still trying to figure out how the story of Psychic Detective actually goes because I don't understand every word ... no problems at all with english subs but without them ... thanks for the explanation.
