In the stardust and disunity of the collapsed Star Union, an insidious new race of merciless Shakarn has arrived to lay claim to the galaxy. Age of Wonders: Planetfall - Invasions DLC is now available DRM-free on GOG.COM!

Apart from the lizard-like race of The Shakarn, this DLC introduces The Therians NPC race, new World Events, Campaign Missions, and challenges. It also features Conquered Worlds gameplay-mode which puts you int the shoes of an empire attacked from all sides.

Invasions DLC release comes with a special set of up to 50% discounts on Age of Wonders: Planetfall titles lasting on GOG.COM until 29th May, 11:59 PM UTC.

Important note: Age of Wonders: Planetfall on GOG.COM now comes with a full macOS support!
The game's been on my radar, but looks like one of those that might be a borderline case on my system in terms of performance... wish GOG's refund policy covered unsatisfactory FPS on systems that meet the minimal requirements, but I doubt it does.
I will definitely get the GOG version of Planetfall. I just wish they would update AoW3 here.
Just an FYI for NON Galaxy users...

make sure you have applied the patch to 1.3 or the new playable race Shakarn won't appear.

My version was still 1.201 and though I downloaded and installed the new Invasions DLC "successfully" it didn't appear and nor did the new race. I then downloaded the 1.3 patch, and ran that, after which the new race etc was there.

Also (maybe just me) the patch install took about 20 mins to complete and showed no progress on the progress bar, but finally got there.

No complaints, all is well, just letting non G users know to have the game updated prior to running the new DLC.
I've just checked the installers in my library (have premium edition) - DLC installer is very small (5 MB), it seems that the main content is inside the newest patch (768 MB), appareantly installer only unlocks this content.

My guess is that it's the same thing as in Gladius and allows to play in MP mode persons who have the addon with those who don't have it.
MartiusR - (If you were replying to me)...

Makes perfect sense. I have only recently become aware of content being already in a game and "unlocked" by date etc.

Also, I wasn't aware that the Planetfall 1.3 version was that new (today?). I just assumed that I could download and play (like in the good old days). The curse of being old strikes again.

Like I said, makes sense, you are probably right. I just thought I had missed the 1.3 patch from a while ago and didn't connect the dots.

Is there something wrong with AoW 3 on GOG? Is it mission any of the updates from STEAM?

You can return games you had installed and played and found unsatisfactory now. Its their new refund policy. No more "buy a game and return without installing".

Weird how Paradox does DLCs. They patch things in but only activate the content when you own the DLC. Not a big fan of how Paradox goes about DLCs in their games.

I know about the new refund policy, but I don't think it's a ''no questions asked'' type of deal. It's not automated and they still reserve the right to deny a refund.
Trailer's uninspiring, I want more.
Oh, it’s paradox. Maybe in 20 years then when they stop releasing all cut content.

With a reasonable explanation it will be fine. Its a trust based system now.

I admit that I was rather writing "in general", because I didn't see your post bonzer when I was starting to write.

But if it by accident clarified (probably) something, then it's even better :)

the game still looks more then oke on lower graphic settings but you really pay for ultra mode... i did not manage to see a lot of difference on 1080p between those consuming graphics settings and their lower cousins ( system r5 2600, 32 gb, m.2 sata drive, rtx 2060super )

Paradox is publishing, but it's still a Triumph game. They're promising 3 expansions, and both of the DLCs released so far have been equivalent in content to the two expansions for Age of Wonders 3 (pre-paradox). There ARE some deluxe edition skins you can buy to change the look of your leader, but this is not a Stellaris or Crusader Kings "death by a thousand DLCs" situation.
