In the stardust and disunity of the collapsed Star Union, an insidious new race of merciless Shakarn has arrived to lay claim to the galaxy. Age of Wonders: Planetfall - Invasions DLC is now available DRM-free on GOG.COM!

Apart from the lizard-like race of The Shakarn, this DLC introduces The Therians NPC race, new World Events, Campaign Missions, and challenges. It also features Conquered Worlds gameplay-mode which puts you int the shoes of an empire attacked from all sides.

Invasions DLC release comes with a special set of up to 50% discounts on Age of Wonders: Planetfall titles lasting on GOG.COM until 29th May, 11:59 PM UTC.

Important note: Age of Wonders: Planetfall on GOG.COM now comes with a full macOS support!
Hang on, when did the Mac version show up? Did GOG bother to announce that? But hey, at least it's here, unlike Age of Wonders 3, so I guess I shouldn't complain. Buying now....

SarahGabriella: Weird how Paradox does DLCs. They patch things in but only activate the content when you own the DLC. Not a big fan of how Paradox goes about DLCs in their games.
Not specifically a Paradox thing; it's pretty common in general for DLC to be part of the game itself rather than a bunch of external files. It's often just technically easier to keep everything in one place rather than separating it out. A lot of the time, the so-called DLC for games I buy here is really just a couple of tiny data files that only exist in order for the game to say "OK, the DLC was purchased, I'll activate that stuff in-game now" if those files are present.

Also the game is by Triumph Studios; Paradox is just the publisher. Credit (or blame) where due.

TentacleMayor: The game's been on my radar, but looks like one of those that might be a borderline case on my system in terms of performance... wish GOG's refund policy covered unsatisfactory FPS on systems that meet the minimal requirements, but I doubt it does.
GOG's refund policy has been "you can refund the game within 30 days for any reason, as long as you don't abuse the refund policy" for months now.

So there is no usage limit? that is decent, 2 hours for determining if a game is to your liking or not feels a bit short, 5 hours would have been a somewhat more sane choice.

Keeping track for how many times someone does a refund, on the other hand does gog specify between tens of games only tried for mins which are refunded then or do you get penetalized for those refunds too?

Publisher can demand what game devs do...Thats why Spec Ops: The Line got multiplayer that went against the game devs vision for the game.

Paradox publishes a lot of great games but theyre all to minor or major parts DLC/expansion filled.

Refunds should be rarely used, not often. Buying a full game isnt borrowing a game, test it if you like it and then refund or not kinda thing.
You should have a very good reason for a refund. So far i didnt get one. Tho i was close before with 1 game.

You think, it is a weird world,so many games and so many offers, i think a try before you buy option is not more then normal to be more precise, of course these days the demo made its entrance again as do free try out wkends so i'm glad the world is changing again

If you wanna know a game better before buying, watch vids of it. Or get lucky and it has a demo on here. But watching vids is my preferred way of knowing if im gonna like it.

but there are spoilers! Granted most of the time i know exactly what i'm buying.... after several years of experience you should know better, still i did refund a couple of bought games, i knew exactly what i was purchasing but in the end i really did not feel like playing the game or take up the challenge

I wanted to refund 3 kingdoms for example because the first 6 months CA did not manage to pull through on some graphical issues that ruined the game..... Now it is bearable though the shadows choice on the campaign map wich works more or less like the laneswitching light on a car to me is still a point of irritation. I wish i could refund expecting some personal approach on steam for refunds outside their ruleset but steam is of course a company serving a lot of people

There was also some towerdefense game which actually looked mighty fine on trailer and all but there i noticed while playing how the challenge level was setup which was really not what i was looking for. Looking at gamevideo's might have solved this problem but really, you can't expect someone to look at a adventure game video from someone else where exploring is half the fun nor can video's protect you from system specific bugs or glitches
