Hi, as the part of the title states I'm reinstalling the GOG app with Windows 10 Pro which is due to my hard drive not working along with the new hard drive that was installed for some odd reason rejecting Windows 7. Now with that being said is there settings I need to change first before reinstalling the GOG App or/and files that need to be moved around or deleted? If so which ones and how? If I do not have to reinstall GOG I just have to find the GOG file and run it how do I go about doing that? The reason why I ask these questions is because for the most part it looks all my files for my games have been saved and file called "GalaxyCommunicationService" but can't find the actual GOG Galaxy App itself which either it was not retrievable or lost within another folder, but the main problem is that because of the data transfer in general the files are kind of all over the place and from what I was told applications/programs once transferred in general are useless, however I can not identify which files to delete and which ones not to delete which I'm hoping a simple reinstall will just simply recognize and replace the files it needs to replace on its own so I can play my games in both offline and online mode in general.

One EITHER clones a hard disk OR reinstalls everything. Nothing else works well, at least not on Windows.

Last time I had to change my hard disk, Windows on the DVD was unable to format the new disk but I got it working by partitioning and formatting it when plugged in as a side disk to an existing Windows install. After that there was no problem installing Windows on it without having any other disk in there.

HI , I think more going the reinstalling or installing route would be better for me. Now base off what I'm understanding since I'm going more to the reinstalling route is GOG in general is update to point where the app will just recognize my games automatically recognize my games where I do not have to do anything? If this is the case where do I go or click on to reinstall or install?

Galaxy? Sorry again but I never tried the Galaxy client but if you download through it, there should not be any problems. Already downloaded installers? Then I do know know as I never used Galaxy.

Agraz:
I'm not sure I understood your question correctly, but:

You don't need to move GOG Galaxy app at all. Just backup game files that you need. :)

You can just download GOG Galaxy installer from the website, install it, run and then use scan&import (in the top-left logo menu dropdown) function to index your games.

If you wish, you can also jump to GOG Galaxy 1.2 version to sync your saves to the cloud (here's a list of games that have Cloud Storage support in Galaxy 1.2: link to the list).
To do that - enable preview updates in the app settings, restart the app and run games you want to sync saves for, make sure you can see "Cloud saves synced" under the game title.

In case of any problems, please respond in this topic or contact our support.
