Thanks for the link. However the article does not explain much. The mentioned reasons are VAT and currency fluctuations but even they do not seem to be convinced of them. The apparent prices sometime in favor of EU, most times in favor of US and always in favor of Russia cannot really be explained by conversion rates and VAT only.
And my impression is that most publishers here on GOG have a very similar regional pricing idea and do not experiment much.

The VAT was mentioned almost in passing, sort of "well, I guess we should put this here too". Largely for the smaller publishers it's "well, this is what Steam says, this is what we do", and why does Steam say that, nobody really knows or cares. Larger ones can do their own thing at times, but again for reasons unknown as they won't talk. Though out of the reasons that are known, you of course have maximizing profit (says there that those are the prices Russians accept, so basically they'd rather earn something instead of nothing, while the EU and Australia accept even hiked up prices so they bleed them for all they're worth), plus a fair degree of laziness, with the lack of updating with exchange rates, setting prices at game launch and leaving them like that. And my impression is that most publishers here on GOG have a very similar regional pricing idea and do not experiment much.
And speaking of links, top 100 countries by game revenue, 2014 estimates. No idea if someone else posted it somewhere else on here or not.

GOG comment:
*$27.99 is the discounted price for this title in the US. Other prices will apply in different countries. If you end up paying more than than the US price, we will reimburse the difference from our own pocket, giving it back to you in store credit (this is what we call the "Fair Price Package").
So it sounds like even though US customers on GOG pay $19.99 for it, you don't get Fair Price matching unless you pay over $27.99. Let me know if I have that wrong.

Huh? Where did you get the comment from? In the news thread is says $19.99 and not $27.99. And also I would pay $22.59 and I am offered the fair pricing package :-)*$27.99 is the discounted price for this title in the US. Other prices will apply in different countries. So I guess it was just another glitch in their busy release schedule. Glad to see they've corrected it.

I'm sorry about having to post here, but I don't want to polute the deserved thanks on the release threads.
I was about to instabuy KOTOR, but I didn't because something failed. Too much traffic, I guess. But on the aftermath, I noticed the price was 10€. That's kinda weird, so I then assumed it was regionally priced. Yet I see no fair price package notice on the gamecard.
What's the status on regional pricing with these LA games?

All I can say is, I see 9.99€ on my checkout page (7.99€ with the discount), and 9.99$ on the release page. No fair package note, either. A bug, maybe? Am I the only one with it?

PaterAlf: But that's the correct price for everyone: $12.49 (Euro 9.99) without the discount and $9.99 (Euro 7.99) for the first week (20% off).
huh, OK; I misread. My alarms sounded when I saw 10 exact € as prize, that doesn't happen often. Plus, I think it's reasonable to expect it to be priced at 10$ as base. But still, my mistake.
