Don't think so, at least not while the fair pricing scheme is in place. DOTC is the classic version. But I suppose that, if they ever release the remastered DOTC here, it will come with RP...

It seems to have some really strange regional pricing. I pay less than what the announcement says oO
$9.39 and not $9.74.

I bet you ARE charged higher. The [strike]€9.99[/strike] €7.49 does look a lot like a $1 = €1 price. I guess GOG just forgot the fair price package ;)

edit: Forget what I just wrote... The discounted US price is 9.74??? oO

Ummm, no. My discounted price is $9.39, which is actually cheaper than the American dicounted price ($9.74)

I just posted this in the release thread, but as far as I can tell, no one is being charged more than the US price (but some people are being charged less).

Full list of prices for Halfway following; I only had USD in the other post:

Here's what my script returns, matches up with what Pidgeot found. So it seems to be regionally priced, but only a bit? Except of course for our ex-Soviet pals, who once again get a hefty discount for being such great customers.

A bit off-topic, but you may want to change your GOGmix's description for the games that became regionally-priced on 27th August. After all, they were never regionally-priced before the redesign. You have also forgotten to include the standard edition of Dreamfall Chapters, as well as its DLC upgrade.

I assume because regional pricing done right charges those with weaker purchasing power less. Though seeing the price point for Mexico I'm not sure if this is actually the case here.

Because nobody pays more, but instead a certain number of countries pay less. Of course the idea would be to pick the poorer ones and adjust according to purchasing power.
Either way, as I keep saying, I can't exactly argue in favor of this considering my arguments against the typical model, but amok does, so might offer a helping hand with a list... Only, you know, not sure there would be more to add on it anytime soon.

That's an interesting perspective. I look at it as if everyone pays more... than Russia.
As I see it, publishers consider the Russian price acceptable for their creation. They are simply charging everybody else more.
I see no real reason to consider the US price as a baseline to compare to. Not any more, now that we're in regional pricing territory.

I actually wonders why this is so? Why most regionally priced games follow exactly a similar price profile regardless of the publisher. You would think that in order to find the maximal revenue one would experiment with different prices or that there are different estimations of which region deserves which price. But there seems to be exactly one dominating regional pricing scheme. I wonder if this is GOG's idea or whoever thought about it. Did they just run around and asked: how much would you pay for that game? I would really like to learn more and substantial about the background of this particular prevailing regional pricing profile. Who invented it and why is it exactly as it is?
