IAmSinistar: Thanks, going on there now.

I wonder if the cynics will be proven correct and it would be better if I switched to a One-World Pricing list for easier maintenance.
Soon my son, soon...

JaqFrost: I strongly suspect that it will quietly go away when GOG thinks the topic is old and tired enough that they can weather the storm from the people who would still raise their voices against it. Regional currency seemed like a very important priority to GOG when the subject was first introduced and I don't believe for a moment that it was for the convenience of their customer base. It's about making more money.
I'm inclined to think that you're on to something.
By the way, 2nd game of that publisher on GOG. the first (Dark fall 3) is not regionally priced ( yet?)

The toothpaste is out of its tube. Would it be easier to maintain ? Maybe for a while, but one day or another, there might be other games that shift from single price to regional pricing

The first two Dark Fall games were casualties of the switch-over to regional currencies, as well. They are gone from GOG (again).

Not again! ॓_॔

EDIT: Interesting how the Dark Fall games were pulled silently (again?), while there's a last minute warning for Blade of Darkness being pulled a bit later today.

Sorry, my statement was ambiguous. The "again" refers to the fact that they have been pulled from the catalogue twice. The second time was in the regional currency introduction.

However, I didn't know about Blade of Darkness. Not a good sign, coming as it does the same day as the public Q&A. Hopefully they are already planning to address it there.

It's a license changing hands thing.

The first two Dark Fall games were published by Nordic and, well, the rest is history.

Another game gets removed from GOG? Oh not again. 2014 has been a bad year with all those removals.

Yah, just found the threads. That's more understandable, typically you have to renegotiate a contract with the new owner. Disappointing to have it leave (for now), but at least the cause is a common business reason and not something more negative at fault.
Yeah, when license changes hands, stuff happens, the question is what terms will be demanded by the new rights holders.

Darn short notice though, and no news about it, just a forum post on the game forum, like anyone'd see it there...

This bit of GOG's SOP (standard operating procedure) always bugs me. They never post except on the game's forum, which isn't useful for people who don't have the game yet, since they probably aren't watching the forum for it either. They are the ones most likely to buy it at the last minute, yet every time it's up to a conscientious forum member to make the news more public.

And then it just makes GOG look worse, as though they were trying to hide the news. It always comes out in the end, better if they were the ones to do it in the first place.

Well, there is quite a possibility, that the person we got this splendid grey depression design from handles the (in those cases not existing) news posts.

Apparently GK poofed off your mix now that it was properly released?

It must have something to do with the fact that this version is a different one than the pre-order. You will ask "in what way?"; I will answer that the released version has no soundtrack in its extras, which was a preorder exclusive.

Thanks, I've gotten it back onto the list.
I must say I'm (positively) surprised that the Baldur Gate / BGII enhanced editions are not regionally priced ;-)
