Klumpen0815: Exactly. Michael Mrozek has shown the numbers behind his side of the creation of the OpenPandora handheld multiple times and is still quite open about stuff like this in regard to the creation of the Pyra.
He also sells other stuff, but I was only talking about the device he actually produced after he completely took over the mess Craig M. Weston left behind.

PS: I love my Pandora.

AliensCrew: I see. And this guy tells his customers where he purchases the parts for his creations? What his company earns per sell? How long his term of credits is? And so on?
Yep and it's a lot of additional work making all those community posts and explanations too.
He gave most of the information he is allowed to give and that was a lot.

That is expected after all he is making open source products but I agree its a lot more then other businesses do and it fits with the open source credo.
Another one for the list.
Starpoint Gemini 2 - first regional priced game without gog.com's notice about regional pricing ! Again 1$=1€ and no fair price package anymore.

Didn't GOG state that the fair pricing package would be a temporary thing back when they responded to the backlash regarding regional pricing? I seem to recall them saying that it would only exist during a transitional period and took that to mean that they assumed their customers would eventually accept that $1=1€ is the way of the future at GOG.

The duration of fair price packages is one thing I made a question about for the Q&A, I hope it will be addressed. (recorded with the 'pricing policies' header in the wishlist).
I really hope they won't enforce such shitty practices (edit : the $=€ I mean).

Well there is a lot of people who do not accept that and also there was no declaration from gog that that period has ended and they still have written that they offer fair price packages on the frontpage.

Ummm, they are still offering a fair price package. It's just not announced on the game's release page.

Actually they aren't. My price is 27.79€ and no fair price package there.
So which is it, in the end? Regional pricing for (at least) Eurozone and Russia with no announcement is clear, but are there areas with no fair price package or was it a glitch?

Are you talking about the total or discounted price? Because if you're talking about the total price, then you are not being charged higher ($34.99 is the game's standard price). I'm being charged €31.99 (€25.69 with the 20% discount) and I'm getting back €3.50 in store credit.

I strongly suspect that it will quietly go away when GOG thinks the topic is old and tired enough that they can weather the storm from the people who would still raise their voices against it. Regional currency seemed like a very important priority to GOG when the subject was first introduced and I don't believe for a moment that it was for the convenience of their customer base. It's about making more money.

They fixed the pricing now. It seemed to have been a glitch before - its USD priced now for me. Crazy stuff.

Before the discounted price 27.79€ now its 22 and something so they fixed it.

Thanks, going on there now.

I wonder if the cynics will be proven correct and it would be better if I switched to a One-World Pricing list for easier maintenance.

Probably a test, "hey, how about we check how many make a fuss over it or even notice?"
