mrkgnao: No, you got it wrong, Read the GOG home page. It states clearly "Because $1 is not €1".

Its still possible to make a 25$ pledge at a flat price on the developer's website for Dreamfall Chapters which includes the gog key also. So those who don't like regional pricing can still bypass that and get the game here: http://redthreadgames.com/pledge/

Edit: The pledges seem to be open till the end of the weekend.

Somehow I am missing the information that you get a gog key when you pledge there, where did you find it?
[edit] Forget it, I am blind, stupid me^^

No problem its at the bottom of the 25$ pledge where it says either via Steam or Gog :)

Would recommend you get the game soon as you can if you wan't it since the developers will close the pledges soon.

Yep just did that :-) Since the game was on my wishlist but the regional pricing would be annoying :D
I made a question for the upcoming Q&A on twitch

Voted. I'm in the process of downloading all games in my account, in case the answer is 'no'.

Discussion about GOG adding different currency ending up in forcing many publisher to make regional prices for their games.
Why do you think that they're forced?
Existing distribution contracts might possibly force regional pricing now vs. when games were only offered in U.S. dollars. Personally, I think forced is too strong a word as anything can be renegotiated,

While I have generally believed regional pricing might be necessary on GoG, I have to admit to be rather dismayed that a game now has regional pricing where 1 dollar = 1 euro. That flies in the face on what was promised.

I think the renegotiation happened when GOG changed the system. That's why Nordic left immediately.

Wurzelkraft: snip
What I meant to say is that the currency changes may have triggered a conflict with other contracts the software distributors may have in various regions. When GoG was just in U.S. dollars, they may not have been considered a regional distributor or may have fallen under an exemption of some sort. As soon as they provided games in the same currency, this may have triggered clauses in other contracts regarding consistent pricing in a given region with promises not to undercut.

Actually Nordic explained in their forums if I remember correctly that they wanted to have 1$=1€ prices as on the other stores since gog implemented currency conversion and then it would be visible how much cheaper gog was in comparison to Steam and other digital stores - the change basically forced Nordic to demand the above standard regional pricing arrangement which was denied by gog.
