Then I don't understand why Nordic is leaving. Would they really have allowed Daedelic regional pricing but refused Nordic theirs?

The interesting thing is that Nordic will be removing the games that belong to them, but leave back the games that they merely published (Book of Unwritten Tales 1+2, The Raven: Legacy of a Master Thief), albeit regionally-priced.

I think regional priced games should be taggeg as such and in easly understandable way even on catalog.

Most games on the "to be discontinued" list are older titles, that have been been sold as "megapacks" on disks, then dvds, then almost everywehere. GOG might not want to offer "fair pricing" credts to its customers in exchange for regional pricing on such titles. More so, if they accept it, it won't be long before we get that on Tommo, Activision and EA titles.

Anyway, I'm now pessimistic on GOG's future. The DRM free revolution is like a bicycle, if it can't keep moving forward ( ie gets additional interesting titles ) , it's bound to fall

I think so too but I also think that GOG does not think so. Their point if probably that spreading knowledge about prices in other regions is not helping them - which is probably isn't but without it I will always feel a bit cheated kind of.

I agree with you.And note that this move towards regionnally pricing newer games was unplesantly non transparent.
But as regional pricing gains momentum, they may eventually end up with someone publishing "gog prices" ( as in steamprices.com )., one way or another.

I'm already thinking about that. All I need is to write a python script and a list of proxys. Of course with a bit more effort you can make a really nice site. But the mere need for this kind of hide and seek game makes me feel sad. Why do we customers have to fight for our rights - come on, it's the 21st century now? Why is the industry (and partly also GOG) constantly seeking to play their dirty little games to get the last penny out of the customer?

For the record, have you looked at the announcement pages for the last couple releases? It does say toward the top that these games are regionally priced. It does not appear GoG is trying to hide this. Maybe they are listening.

@all: Don't buy stuff with DRM or regional pricing.
This shit that is going on with consumer rights and nation related discrimation has to stop or there'll be even more absurd norms around after this.
