I think it was already mentioned a few times before but GOG actually disabled gifting for Witcher 3 (and I guess other expensive games might follow) if you are from Russia and presumably other cheap regions. See here. I really don't get it...GOG decides to introduce regional pricing and then we have to "suffer" (a little strong, I know) for this by paying more and not even being able to gift and receive certain games. Good news!

This was probably mentioned elsewhere on the forum by now, but: EU wants to end regional pricing for digital goods. As in different prices and region locks between EU countries, of course, not also between EU and non-EU. Sounds nice, though why do I get this nagging feeling that this will result in enforcing the highest price on all?

Pic related. Dutch IP (see right-hand corner). Gift and receive all you want, it works.Post edited March 31, 2015 by Starmaker

low rated
Wurzelkraft: Oh sure, that will work. If you are willing to pay the highest price, then you might gift it. You aren't so lucky if you try it the other way around though. ;)
So what were you complaining about in the post I quoted? People EITHER pay a relatively high price OR pay peanuts but are unable to buy gifts as a result of GOG's attempt to stop bootlegging. JaqFrost
