I will be splitting Canada into its own region later today.
Hmm, this is interesting. I wonder what GOG's going to do for those Canadians that bought at a higher price. I, for example, purchased two copies of the game for the higher price.

It's even more illogical if you compare it to the pricing of the base game:

HypersomniacLive: I don't get your gripe about FireFlower Games charging VAT to EU purchases, it is what they are obliged to do.
Also, the VAT isn't added to the price for EU purchases, the price listing is the VAT inclusive price. You get 25% deducted at checkout if you're not in the EU.

Another milestone completed, bravo GOG keep the Good News™ coming. I am not really surprised though after the retroactive discounts for the two previous Witcher games, comrade coupons are to be expected for every game released here now. Even if by some miracle any of the regionally priced games go back to consistent pricing for every other region, the special RU region discount will still remain intact.

II don't think its a question of GOG being forced by publishers, this is what they want to do themselves for every release if possible. The discount on the originally flat priced Witcher games are proof of that.

Meh, they already regionally-priced Europa Universalis (a 2001 game), so 3 years more isn't really that much of a difference.

Another conversion rate change; another bagload of regional USD price adjustments. See attached file (change jpg to txt) for the gory details.

Highlights:
1) Grim Fandango Remastered is no longer "regionally discounted". It is now plain "regionally priced", being more expensive than the US in most of Europe.

2) NOTE! CHANGED Starpoint Gemini 2, regional_str: AU,BR,DE,GB,PL,RU,CH,CZ,NO,SE,UZ, ***TO*** AU,BR,GB,PL,RU,CZ,UZ, (-DE, -CH, -NO, -SE)

3) DE, CH, NO, SE have returned (after a short sojourn) to being somewhat more expensive than US on average

What a strange price that it has. $15.19/€13.89. It's not rounded up in any of the currencies.

My guess is that at some point (see http://www.gog.com/forum/general/regional_priced_games_on_gog/post2001) they wanted to make the EU price match the US price and they did it by adjusting the EU price, but with the conversion changes it got all screwed up.

So that 70's propaganda was true - casual drugs are a gateway to hard drugs. Or rather, "soft" regional pricing is a gateway to "hard" regional pricing.

Incidentally, the release of Pillars of Eternity kicked all of their placeholders off the GOGmix. So I'm putting them back.

No. Recent examples that didn't: Hotline Miami 2, Shelter 2. I am sure they didn't have an ID change (I keep a list); I believe they had pre-order (I don't keep a list).

I believe that it's only those that have a pre-order exclusive.
