So except Scrub Abe, no title went from more expensive to discount only or the other way around, right?

Senteria: Soon you will love the regional prices, the way the euro is going downhill.

Klumpen0815: No, discrimination is always bad.

And the prices have already adapted, the 8,99€ titles are now 9,29€ for example.

Yeah, the price for Witcher 3 on gog.com has at least for my country in last couple of months cause of currency conversion adjustment increased by 6€.

HypersomniacLive: Don't follow, elaborate please.
Going by the assumption that regional prices are fixed per currency, making games cheaper with the Euro falling. That's not quite the case, since rates do update, so in fact what's happening is that games get more expensive, the same USD price ending up meaning more EUR or any other EU currency, as they tend to be set largely according to it, even if the differences drop.
The fact that the differences do drop and in some cases the EUR price is cheaper does throw the VAT excuse right out of the water for good though. Not that it hadn't been thrown out from the get go.

And +1 to

mrkgnao: No, I will not.
I didn't love it when the US paid less that Europe and I will not love it when the reverse occurs.
I don't love it because it is unfair, not because I pay more or less.
Wrong is wrong, no matter who benefits.

Very well said mrkgnao +1, it is indeed a matter of principle regardless of how idealistic it may appear to some folks.

From MaGog's logs for 13 March:

NOTE! CHANGED Grim Fandango Remastered, reg_price_au: 13.19 ***TO*** 14.99
NOTE! CHANGED Grim Fandango Remastered, reg_price_de: 12.89 ***TO*** 14.99
NOTE! CHANGED Grim Fandango Remastered, reg_price_gb: 13.99 ***TO*** 14.99
NOTE! CHANGED Grim Fandango Remastered, reg_price_pl: 12.89 ***TO*** 14.99
NOTE! CHANGED Grim Fandango Remastered, reg_price_ch: 12.89 ***TO*** 14.99
NOTE! CHANGED Grim Fandango Remastered, reg_price_cz: 12.89 ***TO*** 14.99
NOTE! CHANGED Grim Fandango Remastered, reg_price_no: 12.89 ***TO*** 14.99
NOTE! CHANGED Grim Fandango Remastered, reg_price_se: 12.89 ***TO*** 14.99
NOTE! CHANGED Grim Fandango Remastered, regional_str: AU,DE,GB,PL,RU,CH,CZ,NO,SE,UZ, ***TO*** RU,UZ,

Just a reminder that regional pricing is primarily about paying more. If Europe happens to pay less, because of currency fluctuations, nobody seems to have trouble to return it to non-regional-pricing, leaving RU and UZ the only discounted.

Of course not. Interesting that UZ gets the special treatment in this case.

Except for one game, UZ is identical to RU.
Correction: two games (the two editions of "Book of Unwritten Tales 2").

I had not realised that UZ and Ru have such close ties. Sharing the same gaming culture?

RU region always included all the countries currently in the UZ one till Book of Unwritten Tales begged to differ. Have to keep in mind that MaGog's pricing "country" codes usually refer to the largest country in a regions, not to a single country, with a few exceptions (RU among them since BoUT2).

Thank you, Cavalary. You are very correct.

Perhaps it's time for a refresher course on MaGog's regional terminology, for those as yet less in the know.

MaGog has identified quite a few regions when it comes to regional pricing. The list of regions and which countries belong to which region is here. A region is defined by all its countries having exactly the same prices for all the games on GOG (ignoring, for this, any regional banning). If a country differs by even one game price from the other countries in the region it is split into its own region (this has recently happened with Russia and nine other ex-soviet republics).

Some regions contain many countries, some only one.

Rather than refer to a region by name, MaGog refers to it by the two-letter acronym of one country, which I chose as a representative country for the region. With one exception, this is always the most populous country of the region. The exception is "Rest of the World", for I thought it might be confusing to use CN instead of US.

Normally, MaGog checks game prices only for one country in the region (the representative country). It does so every 6 hours for all the games on GOG. But once a week (on Saturday) it checks all the games for the all the countries in the world (takes more than two hours) to make sure region composition has not changed.

Hope this helps.
It's all good, I associated UZ with Uzbekistan and Uzbekistan only.

Cheers for the course though.
From MaGog's logs for 14 March:

And it's back...

* Regional price for Smugglers V: Invasion - Warrior Within [DLC] in RU: $1.49 instead of $3.99
* Regional price for Smugglers V: Invasion - Warrior Within [DLC] in UZ: $1.49 instead of $3.99
