Urnoev: Wow, now I'm really pissed. I was looking forward for that series to arrive here. Flat-priced, that wasn't too unlikely to begin with, right?
This thread changed its meaning over time, now I don't come to check whether a game has regional pricing, but whether it truly hasn't.
Modern times. ;)

I'm afraid you may not be able to buy the majority of new releases on GOG for a good while. It seems the Russian Discount is a given on every new game these days. Granted, that's sort of like "flat pricing for everywhere but one country", but it's still not actual flat pricing.

Should be:
"flat pricing for everywhere but ten countries"

Russian Federation (RU), Armenia (AM), Azerbaijan (AZ), Belarus (BY), Kyrgyzstan (KG), Kazakhstan (KZ), Moldova, Republic of (MD), Tajikistan (TJ), Turkmenistan (TM), Uzbekistan (UZ)

I was going by the preponderance of little Russian flags. Does that actually represent a whole group of countries? If so, my apology.

mrkgnao: Most of the flags represent groups of countries (a.k.a. regions). The full "matrix" is detailed in Table VIII here.
Ah, so it's not the Russian Discount so much as the Ex-Soviet Savings.

Uncle Khrushchev says - "We will bury you - in games!"
Sheesh, those prices...
I guess I'm just never buying a full priced game here again 'till they fix it.

That's okay, sort of. I have over 300 games in my backlog anyway.

Sort of, but It's not that simple, as some ex-Soviet countries belong to other regions:
1) Estonia (EE), Lithuania (LT), and Latvia (LV) belong to the EU Eastern Europe region
2) Ukraine (UA) is a region by itself
3) and, most inexplicably of all, Georgia (GE) belongs to the Rest of the World

New GOG motto:
"Join GOG and become an expert in political geography"

Yes, I was using Ex-Soviet because of how you have the flag labelled (The Former Soviet Union). I would have gone with Ex-Eastern Bloc, but that's just as misleading, since the Eastern Bloc was even larger and included nations like Poland. For now I'm referring to them in the GOGmix as "Russia and affiliated nations", even though they aren't really affiliated in the conventional sense. If any has a better name suggestion for the Ex-Sov Ten, please share.

Not sure how Georgia got US pricing either, that is an odd man out alright.

Though I think the full degree title is Bachelor of Applied Sales Trends and Adjusted Regional Demographics. Or acronymically, BASTARD.

i herd on the news that rusia has invaded but i dont see them no where wats going on"

Answer: "You are in the state of Georgia. The nation of Georgia is on the other side of the world."
