Aww Russians have all the luck.

stg83: So another batch of games for the comrade coupon thread as they seem to be the same price in other regions checked so far.
Yes, it looks like this is the case.

Matruchus: Hearts of Iron 1 is 100% more expensive here then on gamersgate. Don't know if that fits into regional pricing or not.
I think it's just a GamersGate permanent discount (intentional or not, I can't say), as the game's price is also 10 bucks on Direct2Drive and Desura.

Is there any official statement from GoG regarding all those ridiculous Russian discounts?

It's not luck, it's skill.

What do you expect? It's probably "We want to make money in Russia and so we have to give them the same prices like everyone else.".
Game prices are going to convince me of what Ronald Reagan couldn't about 35 years ago. Those damn Russkies! :)

Wurzelkraft: Russian discount on all six Paradox titles.
God damn it.

Okay folks, I need your votes. I am at the point where I am ready to split the two lists. Both are essentially "regional price" lists, just distinguished as to whether the game is truly regional price (which usually means some people pay more than the US price) or Russian Discounted (which means no one pays more than the US price, but some folks get a break, and the Russians always do).

It's a real pain to keep maintaining the Regional Price list with the Russian Discount entries, as there are so many of those now. So what do you think - split the lists, or keep going the way I have been?

Split the list. One list for games where at least one region has to pay more than the base price and the other one for games where no one pays more than the baseprice, but at least one region gets a discount.

I am not voting since I am not really using your lists, but I do want to warn you that it is quite possible that at some point we will have a game for which no region is more expensive than that US, yet has no Russian discount. If the Euro keeps dropping, Neverending Nightmares will soon be one. It is currently 10-12% more expensive in EU than in US, but the RU price is the same as US. Perhaps you want to rename the second list, say from Russian Discounted to Regional Discounted.

Split, definitely. Possibly even split in three, one where somebody pays more than the US price, another where only the usual suspects (RU, possibly UA, maybe also the countries that get the BR price) get discounts, and another where others (AU, Eurozone...) get discounts (as well, or not). Keep thinking of doing that for my list of shame, but meanwhile just gave up on tracking the discounted ones and just bothering with the higher somewhere ones.

(Er, this may be a pointless reply since you were saying you blocked me. Ah well.)
Not a 100% confirmation, but The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 and its Almanac Edition have been spotted on the "upcoming" tab. The game will be released in 3 days.
Thanks for the votes so far, folks. Sounds like a split is the way to go. I do like the suggestion of the "Regional Discounted" title, but don't know if Support will rename both the Russian Discount thread and GOGmix. I might just start a replacement for each and lock the old ones.
The new thread is up, as is the GOGmix. I have deleted the old Russian Discount GOGmix and will ask to have the thread locked, as this new one supercedes it.

I will also be dropping the Regional Discount titles from this list, hopefully making things easier to track for everyone.
