When it comes to multiple currencies, the very fact that prices are set separately makes it obvious the system is rigged for regional pricing. If it wouldn't be, you'd have one currency as base price and the exchange rate on the back end, updated preferably daily, or at least weekly, and whenever someone uses a different currency the system would just do [base_price]*[exchange_rate] and display the result. Adds one server operation per game but removes a fair amount of database fields and A LOT of work with entering and updating prices.

I agree let the publishers set the prices, at least I'll know which shits I'll never buy from ever again.
Not convinced that people putting publishers on their ignore lists is good for GoG's revenue in the end though.

Basically russian prices are sale prices for everybody else at this point. Its strange though since the value of the rubble is constantly falling so the prices should actually go up for russians and today the rubbel reached the lowest value since 1998. Who can understand this really.

Makes sense. The reason for the change, I mean. The overall pricing scheme does not make sense to me, of course.

Note that as a result of this change:

- Surgeon Simulator Anniversary Edition [DLC] is no longer regionally priced in GB

Strange. When the Euro loses value, we have to pay more for our games. When the Rubbel loses value, the Russians get an even higher discount. Can someone explain that to me?

Nothing strange about that. These are the regionally-priced games that have been affected, not the rest. You know, in the same way that European games were affected. Want an example? Before the first Local Prices Update, the standard version of Age of Wonders 3 had a cost of $55 for Europeans. How many dollars does it cost right now? $50.40.
As I said above, these are not the flat-priced games; these are the regionally-priced ones. Their price remains the same; what has changed is their currency rate, where with less dollars you can now buy the same amount of rubles.
