styggron: This is ridiculous GoG is doing this. They themselves are not in those countries, it should be up to the individual to comply with the local laws where they are.
I agree it's ridiculous, but I can also see where they're likely coming from: can you imagine the hell they'd have to go through if a psycho Karen (like some of the politicians in certain countries) got word of them being available? Especially since all that stops underaged persons from buying these games from GOG right now is trust and honesty about your age... Ugh. Just thinking of the screeching is giving me a headache. But I agree it's incredibly stupid and sad. Not GOG's fault though - that blame lies solely on the people who keep voting in stupid politicians with awful policies, and countries that don't do anything to protect freedom of speech and expression, which causes companies like GOG to have to be overly cautious. :/
