Which title did you put up for a refund!

Let me start,

Title : Grim Dawn
Location : Alternative Dimension GoG
Date : Yesterday
Reason : did not work without galaxy - worked with galaxy right up until the character creation process.
Suspect : Windows 11 authorizations/cabinet system

Hmmm..I can appreciate the topic. My fam and I haven't requested many refunds over the past 5 years, but there were a few....and mostly for technical reasons.

Crysis...could never get past level 1 without major crashes...total hassle and not worth the time to tinker.

Outer Worlds Spacer's Choice........terrible performance upon launch...worse than original....very underwhelming turd of a release

Smurfs Mission Vileaf...animations tied to framerate causeing the player not to be able to jump...fixed it before the refund was actually addressed by limiting framerate to screen refresh and using CP v-sync. Kept game.

Shadow of Mordor.....bought the day before A. Prime gave it away for free.

Crackpet Show.....drm infested with DLC only capable of being installed through Galaxy.

Spirit of the Island.............for the sheer fact that it is one game, but the devs are ignorant and have split the game into two different exes on GOG with each .exe only having certain features of the game. Total clusterfuck!

That's exactly the total over these 5 years out of 900 purchased combined. Very Reasonable I do think. I always check STEAM and the other GOG forums to see what issues might arise before purchasing. STEAM forums and Pcgamingwiki are our friends around here.
Since September 2010?
Exactly zero.
Complete list of all my refund requests:
No refund. In my case, if a buy something, it is because I really like it, or because I like it and it's very cheap. Moreover, I know that my computer is not very powerful and I only have Linux. So, I do not know if it is a windows game, I should be able to obtain a refund if the game does not work on wine or similar. I have games that does not work on Wine, but I hope that in the future, I will be able to. To sum up, in my case, I have not found any reason to ask a refund.

I have been playing Grim Dawn for years, without ever installing Galaxy.
Keeping in mind that I am not running Windows (11 or any other one).

Been playing Grim Dawn recently and never had this issue. I am using Lutris on Linux and Lutris doesn't use any Galaxy features.

The only GoG refund I've ever asked for.

Otherwise, I would only refund if I couldn't get the game running and if GoG support couldn't help me. I've never failed to get a game to run I've bought from here.
I would refund any game on Steam but i almost always use a key there, so it is useless.

On GOG?

I have no refunds so far...

No clue...

I never was in need of Galaxy in order to run Grim Dawn. Weird issue indeed.

However: Windows 11 is mean, i did not touch it so far.
There is more DRM inside, and perhaps it can even enforce some games to run on Galaxy only.

I'm yet another Linux user who's never had any trouble playing Grim Dawn.

Beyond that, my refunds list looks like this:
I'd rather refund Windows 11 itselft over Grim Dawn.
Jokes aside I hope it will be fixed soon.
Any refunds would be for paying a higher price and a day later it is free. Like Blood West. Paid for it and a few days later its free from amazon. Though I didnt get a refund. I really did not like the absurd stealth system, coupled with loud noisy actions.

Why not get a refund? Though annoyed and having disliked the game. I felt the dev team had some potential. Yeah they did a shit job and ruined their game. I think they should have a 2nd chance, if they do better on a next project. Maybe they will smarten up and add some logic to their future projects.
Not a single refund so far here.
I admit I asked for some refunds over the years. But there were also some cases that I regretted it and I re-bought that game.
There are some refunds here, but overall, it is less than 1/year.
And refunded to buy again, as a gift or for myself or exchanged for another game.
Always to the wallet as far as I remember. It is a very generous policy that is easily overused by non-generous people; however, measures are in place to keep it fair.
Mindless buying or thinking before buying? Both : ) thanks
