can I ask for a refund on a game that will not work on my PC. I have just purchased Fallout 3 which crashes every time I hit the play button. This is the first game from GoG that has not worked and I havn't got the tech nohow to try to make it work.

Contact support and they will walk you through how to fix your Windows so you can play your games. If they fail and less than thirty days have passed since purchase, you will get a refund to your GOG wallet, I presume.

Out of interest... what graphics card are you trying to run the game on?

Thanks for your help, I'll check out your manual tomorrow and see if I can handle it
Many thanks for your input, I hadn't realised that my card was not supported for this game. I tried to insert the files you sent me but found it too difficult and confusing for an old worn out guy like me. So I will bite the bullet and take the hit to my wallet. I will wait for apossible future release that incorporates mods that allow me to run from a simple download.
Thanks again Bob

It states clearly on the store page that Intel graphics are not supported.

Interisting, very surprised at the lack of support as no other game I have. including earlier fallout games and extensions work fine wsith my card. Just as a query any idea why this should be so? copywrite of technical issues for instance?

It's just that Fallout 3 doesn't work with Intel Graphics and nobody (Intel) is going to fix that any time soon..

It works... just "unofficially" with the above linked fix - though it is true that intel HD is not on the minimum spec list

How did you come to the conclusion that it's Intel's problem?

As far as I can tell, it's the game that is buggy.

As far as I can tell, the game will work if you lie about what graphics chip you're running.

I didn't. But since the game developers are never, ever going to fix things, only Intel has the capacity to do anything about it.

No. It works with the stated Intel bypass, 'unofficially', on SOME system but not all.
