It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I have been downloading the same file (setup_pillars_of_eternity_2.11.0.17-2.bin) for the last two days. I havn't even started on setup_pillars_of_eternity_2.11.0.17-1.bin. I am tired of getting 2.0 - 2.3 gb of the 2.7gb file. so....

How do I get a refund?

Go there, choose type of problem (there's an option for downloading issues), fill out form.

For future reference, if you have weak internet and are DLing via browser, then consider using a download manager. I use DownloadThemAll!, but I'm sure just about any manager would have resume functionality.

Note: support can take a few days to give you a proper response. They may even still be backed up because of the recent sale.

What did you use?
Galaxy?
Your browser?
gogdownloader?

https://www.gog.com/support/contact -> select on the left my order dadadada -> continue -> select the matching download procedure you are using and type request for refund.

(you might have to select first the game
There's also the GoG Downloader...

I just got an email from support:

"Since you have already made an attempt to download content for that game, we're unable to offer you a cash refund, however we can make a one-time exception converting your purchase into GOG Wallet funds"

I replied to just forget the refund and I'd keep trying. I'm going to try using my linux box instead of that disappointing windows 10 laptop. I should have much better results. If that still results in failure; I'll just get a thumb drive and head over to a computer lab and mooch off there internet.

Goodaltgamer: I've been using firefox. I've started backing up the .part file. Makes continuing a disrupted download easier. My connection type is the slowest (and cheapest) dsl.

Thanks molerat, molerat, & Goodaltgamer for replying and assistance

Firefox also has DownloadthemAll which I've become dependent on.
Also you can use galaxy. It has a download backups feature.

Don't back up .part files if the browser doesn't automatically recognize and resume them! Trying to force the browser to resume interrupted downloads often results in defective files. That's just asking for trouble.

Get a decent download manager because they are doing a lot better at resuming interrupted downloads than browsers and also accelerate downloads by downloading with multiple threads at the same time.

Since you are using Firefox anyway your best choice would be the DownThemAll addon.

Get that and download the file again from start.

I agree, it's pretty good. Although I tend to use it more for bulk downloading, or to limit my speed when applicable.
