JMich: Amazon, uPlay and Origin also sell GOG keys for TW3. Not sure if Humble also does, but doubt if there are many more official sellers.
Humble Store sells GOG keys, but I highly doubt Origin does. There is no indication as such on Witcher 3: Hearts of Stone Exchange Program mentions exchanging your GOG code for a Steam or Origin key. It would be pretty silly if you exchanged your GOG key for another GOG key. :P

HunchBluntley: "Well, I've never had any problems with the games I've bought on [insert name of pretty much any code resale site you can think of here], so they're legit."
By that point, it has become a catchphrase or something. And I wouldn't be surprised if this ended up being some form of viral marketing/astroturfing.

Matruchus: Yeah, its kind of creepy when the website starts checking your browser without any reason. Just disconected after it started doing that.

tinyE: Think I'm going to run Malware right now just to be safe.

I hope it doesn't try to remove "Knights & Merchants" again. :P
That's just the buffer page displayed by Cloudflare's DDoS protection network. They're a widely respected company that provides packet filtering and extra processing power for websites vulnerable to denial-of-service attacks. Surprised you haven't seen their splash screens before.

Never heard of that company. First time I see such a check to be performed from any website.

True, I seem to recall seeing the "Game uses DRM-Free technology" part in Origin and saying I was unsure if they give GOG keys or not, and I was under the impression that someone verified they were giving GOG keys. So it does seem like Origin just gives the game, no keys.

Mm, it depends on the kinds of websites you visit. There's nothing sketchy about Cloudflare though, it's just a harmless firewall.

I have to ask, what is "... DRM-Free technology"?

No idea, you'll have to ask someone at Origin.

Probably don't need the client to run.

Well that's the thing, its not DRM-Free technology, its just not including a whole load of additional libraries and such like which encompass the DRM module. There's no technology in writing something which doesn't include something else

Edit, I am patenting a new technology. Its writing without pictures, I will call it picture free technology.

Awesome. Do you want to join me with my patented audio-free text technology. If we could combine these two, we could license out the result and get rich, we can call it "plain text".

Plain text doesn't have the fizz needed to sell it nowadays. Needs something modern and sexy, iText, or Enhanced Text, or TWAP (text without audio or pictures).

TWAT - text without any technology

Well, there is already TWATTER, text without any thought, tact, exactness or reality. Which begs the question why they got the vowel wrong?

After much careful tinkering, the boffins at EA have discovered that it's possible for games to run without being connected to a remote server. Don't ask how it's done, it's too complex!
