Hi,

I've learnt that since March, DRM has been removed from Red Alert 2 (incl. Yuri's Revenge) which is part of the Ultimate Collection Bundle on Steam.

Same goes with the other games that are already freeware (Tiberian Dawn, Red Alert and Tiberian Sun).

I've to check but it seems that Generals also is DRM-free.

It's possible to play them without the Steam client.

Let's hope it opens the things to get them release on GOG soon.

On the other hand, it's not guarantee anything would happen since some game are DRM free on Steam (ex. Duck Tales Remastered) but never reached GOG unfortunately...

D.
Last I checked, Red Alert 2 had Steam DRM. Even using Goldberg and Steamless did not make it DRM-free for me.

Where are you finding out there DRM free? Because I have them all on steam and none were DRM when I checked.

Edit: The games were released in March on steam. So did they add update after?

If I remember correctly there was a hint in a recent GOG interview that we might see the command and conquer games here in the future.. Though at this point it's just speculation..

Yes, they did.
It's also confirm on the game's PCGamingWiki page that it was removed in a recent release.

Let's see and cross our fingers. On top of RA2, the more recent games without DRM would be huge too !

Thx for sharing this link !

Good News. I'm glad to know they removed that bull.
I remember how much I've loved Yuri revenge :)

I wish it to be here :)

不,那很好,但是你可以用英语写。不是每个人都能听懂你的语言,伙计。

yeah
Red Alert 2 and Age of Empires 2 were the two first RTS I came into contact with, and I really hope to meet the Ultimate Collector's Edition here

Did someone say Red Arert 2?
I really wanted to try myself.
In fact, I installed the game via Steam.
I copied the game directly (in steamapps/common ) and copied it to a different location.
I started it from the new location and it worked.
Then I uninstalled the game from steam and tried to start it from the new location and I got an error.
So, my conclusion, is that we really need this game on GOG ahah.

I've requested a refund.

I did some testing, and Red Alert 3 has Steam DRM. :( damnit

After doing some more testing.
CNC 3 seems to be DRM-free
KW has Steam DRM ( steamless did not work )
General surprisingly has Steam DRM. ( steamless did not work )
Zero Hour is the same as Generals.
Tiberian Sun has Steam DRM. ( steamless did not work )
Renegade has Steam DRM. ( steamless did not work )
Red Alert 2 has Steam DRM.

Im not seeing a Steam dll in the folders. I'm not sure why the website is saying RA2 is DRM free. Unless weSteamk steam is no longer DRM? I hope GOG gets these games.
