amok: this has absolutely nothing to do with this tread in the slightest, so I will just leave this conversation. No point derailing this thread into the ethics of piracy, even if I mentioned the word in relation to "abandonware". Your spin on this is just a completely different direction than what this thread is about, so good luck.
HunchBluntley: You're talking to gamesfreak, here. He doesn't so much
go off on a tangent of his own as he
occasionally comes back from one. =P
nah, its not that i dont care for some things, or fail to care for it properly.
Its just when i see some posts talking about so called games that were 'abandoned' and i read that most of the time they seem to like these old games from the past better then most of the games today..
I just compare my 40 years of gaming with the gaming experience i have with todays games, )before that i already had those handheld lcd games the ones that costed 15 guilders or so)
and unfortunately if i discard the 400 (or even more retail casualgames (cd/dvd) and 300 digital casualgames (all drm free ofcourse)
i came to the conclusion that the major part of my games are the old classic games, 75% or maybe more is old, and in my case there arent that many modern games that suit me, based on my personal experience in gaming for over 40 years.
But fortunately there are still some good designers, i watched some videos of shardlight (wadjeteye)
and this game is one of the few newly released games that will be added to my good old games collection.
I like my games simple , so: no 3d, no FPP, no rotating, and more hightech stuff like that , but just good old enjoyable games.
