What are the best games available on GOG which are both of the following:
- First-person perspective
- Single-player
...?

Best if these are 'classic' games. I'm playing from a Intel UHD graphics laptop, so I cannot get to be too choosy concerning graphics requirements.

I'm not interested on isometric, board or similar games. Neither am I interested in anything resembling a multiplayer component. The games must not necessarily be a first-person shooter, but must have a first-person perspective.

Right now I could think about:
- The Doom series (specially Doom 3)
- Quake series (specially Quake 4)
- Wolfenstein series (I played RTCW and I liked it... mostly)
- Far Cry series (got 1 and 2 available here)
- Arma series
- S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series
- F.E.A.R. 1/2 series
- XIII
- Crysis (got both titles available here)
- Deus Ex series

Outside here I got also the Halo MCC, and I also I could think of the Half-Life series, but I would like to restrict my question to titles available on GOG. Are there some good titles I'm missing?

Thanks in advance for all the recommendations.
If First Person and Single player are your only requirements, then:

Prey
Dishonored games
Elder Scrolls games
Blood series (there's a remaster of the first game that came out last year)
Shadow Warrior series (honestly, I prefered the remake to the original)
Painkiller games
Serious Sam games
Metro games
Ziggurat
Superhot
Thief Gold, Deus Ex, VtM: Bloodlines and S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl would be my top picks. There's also Painkiller Black and Quake 2 if you're just looking for a straight up shooter.

Ghost Recon, Ion Fury, Dusk, System Shock 2.
Not shooters:
(+ low system requirements)

- Arx fatalis
- Ultima Underworld 1&2
- System Shock 1&2
- Deus Ex
- VtM: Bloodlines
- TES Morrowind & Oblivion
- Dark Messiah of Might and Magic (sadly enough not on GOG)
- Eye of the Beholder 1-3
- Lands of Lore: The Throne of Chaos

Redneck Rampage
Shattered Steel
Uprising games
Terminal Velocity
Might & Magic games

Have you considered Cyberpunk 2077?

GeraltOfRivia_PL: Have you considered Cyberpunk 2077?
Have you read the part about his "graphics requirements"?
The titles you, OP, posted are great games so deinitely go for them.
Then I would join the recommendations like Unreal, Blood, Painkiller, Clive Barker's Undying, Redneck Rampage, Dark forces games, Tron 2.

I add Outlaws, Turok games, Far Cry games, Blake Stone, Shogo, System Shock which can be configured to be played as from a shooter all the way to an adventure and many others like Singularity, Timeshift, Alien Vs Predator, Soldier of Fortune just to cite a few.

Not strictly shooters: Magic Carpet games, Wind commander games.

(some great recommendation follows)
Thanks to you and to every poster who answered. These are great recommendations.

I started this thread because I searched the Net and did not find info specifically relevant to what I was looking for. Either there were "Best FPS games ever" (thus mixing single and multiplayer) or "Best single player games ever" (thus mixing first person, third person, isometric and board perspectives). This info is pure gold for me.

About Cyberpunk 2077 (and also about the Metro Exodus series): If they are playable with Intel UHD graphics, they are OK.

Best thing about GOG is that I can enjoy "classic" games which look reasonably good and which also perform great on my hardware. Thanks again.

The minimum system requirements say it's not.

And even if... it turns out to be somehow "playable" on the fastest Intel integrated graphics, I wouldn't want that to be my experience of the game.
riiight. why not realMyst?
System Shock and System Shock 2.
Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas
