As I've quit Steam about a month ago, yes, I plan to re-buy all the games I'm interested in here on GOG . . . eventually. But I'll wait for sales for most of them; I want to focus on games I've never played, first. Doesn't mean I won't buy some games full-price, though, I've bought a few of them, so far, and that's already more than on Steam!

A few weeks ago, I went through the entire catalog to add every game I was interested in to my wishlist, that's about 300+ games, so it will take time . . . and money. :P (But in the meantime, I sold my entire inventory, so that will help.)

On Steam, I didn't really feel like I was playing the games for the games themselves, so that's why I came here, to go back to "traditional" gaming, without any kind of market fluff. It's refreshing, and now I feel like I'm really enjoying playing. Wish I had moved sooner, but oh well, lesson learned.
Well, I own GalCiv II on Steam (because it wasn`t available here back then) and on GoG, so I definitely would say that I do rebuy games I already own on Steam, if the game is interesting and not too overpriced here.

I don't why Pay twice for one product, but then this sums up it: https://imgflip.com/i/1354ru

Stuff like "PLAY GAMES FOR ACHIEVEMENTS, TRADING CARDS, AND SOME OTHER THINGS THAT WERE NEVER ABOUT GAMING IN THE FIRST PLACE"?
I used to re-buy games I already own, but it's become too expensive. I've re-packaged all my retail games pre-patched with new installers, so all GOG would provide is a convenient online backup and digital extras.

However if one of my games has a specific problem that GOG has fixed, such as Dungeon Keeper 2's hardware acceleration, then i'll re-buy it no question.
GOG benefits are realllyyy tempting i must agree and be honest about that. I will definitely rebuy and rebuild my complete old physical disc PC collection no doubt there, All in due time. I'm on steam mostly cause my friends are there and they refuse to discover the simple, beautiful and purple reality that is called GOG-Galaxy, In that name, and in the name of everyone present, i shall raise this glass of blood red hot wine and speak a toast for a better gaming future! : D
I don't because it's is not a requirement that all my games be DRM-Free for me. My requirement is the game is fun and I will enjoy it.

I'll give you the trading cards, but achievements and social gaming are older than the 3.5" floppies. So yes, they did have to do with gaming in the first place.
I have bought so many games more than once over the years, so yeah, I'v done that. If I think how many copies of Fallout I've bought since its original release back in 1997, I should have become a share holder by now.....

But yeah, I've bought games here that I have on Steam, too. Why? For one, because these are truly owned games, no internet required, if ever I'm somewhere where a connection is needed. I don't always want to be bothered online or have people see what I play and when. It has to be a really good one though.

How do I justify this? Simple. I don't smoke (anymore), so... if someone can blast 10, 20 bucks a day on tobacco that literally turns into thin air, I can buy a game now and then, even if it's double up.
It's up to you. Many Steam games are DRM-free (you could move the game folder and start the .exe), but don't come in nifty easy-to-use installer files like GOG. I have probably less than 20 games on Steam, but don't currently have Steam installed (but I don't do much gaming nowadays anyway).
It is tempting at times.
I have done it with one or three games, almost did it with Quake (I still have the original Amiga CDs \o/).
Nothing better than having the ability to stick our games files onto disc so that we can reinstall/play etc any time we want & not have to rely on the off chance of some servers being active now or decades into the future :D
I would LIKE to re-buy them here. But I am too poor to justify doing so. Still, over 300 on GOG and less than 30 on Steam.
I've been doing that when the price is low enough, and they're good enough. Sadly gog still rejects games that essentially fits the gog store theme too often for me to just move here completely (like Fall of the Dungeon Guardians and The Quest to name two). But I do largely prefer gog, so I'm trying to shift dependency of steam to gog a bit more, but I'm not oozing money, so they have to be something really special.
In many cases I decided to hold off buying a game from steam hoping it'll eventually release here. Soooo actually I buy less games because of that not more :D
