It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Thinking about how much breaks when they "fix" things.... I'll keep the barely working forum and the website that limps along rather than a nice new forum that doesn't work at all and a website that is completely broken.

*points at hazard tape* Let's be honest, you like to wear black and yellow but you need a reason to keep it.
The forum isn't ever still. Why rather recently, the font was changed!
Call me a dreamer, but I'm still hoping for a big forum overhaul (and possibly the main site too) come September and GOG's 10th anniversary.

Adalia Fundamentals / Barefoot Essentials. Same answer as always for everything.

They allow you to zoom on avatars and see their original size versions.

(But I like the fact that they're displayed small by default.)

Am I so transparent?
Please CDPR adopt us (T_T)

InkPanther: GOG, just go already to their offices and force, if needed, the guys responsible for this to do the job you can't do yourselves, will you?
What's sad is, I was looking around their forum and apparently that have an actual forum team too. Yea.

toxicTom: I'd rather have them not change the forum (except, fix the rep system). It kind of scares me what may come out of it 0_o
Don't hold your breadth. Rumor is, one or two inside men, turn a blind eye on purpose at that one... As with the scripts usage, from certain peeps.

It's pretty much a given that there will be a new forum eventually. They have dropped hints in certain places over the years and I was told this point blank at one point by somebody at GOG. But this was like 2 or 3 years ago... it's clear they probably wanted to rebuild it from the ground up but GOG being GOG this is going to take forever.

thomq: If CDPR is changing forum software yet again, then obviously they haven't been satisfied. So how about they go through all the trial and error first (which does take a year or so at a time), then GOG implements what works best? (I don't understand why that isn't obvious.)
Because GOG likely won't use that forum software anyway. GOG had a lot boards (for all the games here), so any forum software they use will have to be very robust. They also have the site more deeply integrated into the forum software than CDPR does. So a custom built software will offer more control and integrated features than paid for software ever will.

The problem is GOG has been talking about upgrading the forum for years now. Building a new forum from scratch is time consuming and we can see how long it takes GOG to even make the simplest of changes here.

It would (likely) be better for us in the short term if GOG did use a paid forum software like CDPR is using at the cost of deep site integration (at-least until they actually have time to build a new one). The reason being is because we would get something quickly and because this forum software is very very outdated, missing the most basic of forum features, and is likely a huge security risk given how outdated the forum is.
The shit storm created when a new forum launches will be HUGE. Most likely existing threads cannot be transferred - i.e.: a clean slate. It'll have features many existing GOG forumites do not want. In other words, it'll be a fun weenie roast. Count me in.

I welcome a clean slate really... I think it would be a good thing.
