Most RPGs coming out recently seem to be turn based, and I only like that type of combat in strategy games or when it's optional, like in Might and Magic 6-8.
I've always thought real time with pause was the best system for CRPGs, but I haven't seen or heard about many games doing it recently. I've played all the Bioware games and preordered Pillars of Eternity, but other than those are there any other newer games utilizing active pause? Suggestions would be great.
