I see that on occasion with my own clients. We try to do a once a month donation with input from them. About 5 or 6 years ago, we helped with a ferret rescue service and we had folks knitting blankets for them. A few months ago we tried to support a new prison library and it was pretty quiet.
Anyway been watching this bit about Norway's prison system about how the prisoners have a rock band. Interesting how the corrections officer is sitting in with them:
