Sounds like you're primarily interested in states which belonged to the confederacy...
Anyway, don't buy a motorcycle, they're dangerous and you'll get yourself killed or have all your bones broken and spend the rest of your life in a wheelchair.

I am a sixth-generation native Texan with a family history which dates back well over one hundred and fifty years. My advice is to invest a good portion of your money in a tangible asset such as property or precious metals. Basically, amassing stakes in anything substantial which retains and may often increase its inherent value is wisest. After you begin accumulating enough wealth spend it wisely so that you become self-sufficent. You may start a business that has a product or service that people are eager to spend their hard-earned capital on. This will also aid you in amassing wealth. If I disclose any more of this sort of guidance I shall have to bill you a fee for such consultation.

Funny, but we all know the word ANTIFA should go in that slot you changed.
(Well, to be fair it'd need to be the leader of Antifa but no one knows who that is)
======================
Also lol.....I give somewhat good advice and a few jokes and get low rated, and fairfox gives some good advice in post 8 and gets low rated.....some others act sillier than ME and are left untouched. Weird, ain't it?
Also I note the usual suspects are out derailing another thread for laughs. Classy goggers being classy.
======================
Note: Some posted ontopic and stayed civil without joking too much....you guys/gals all got uprates from me. That kind of behavior is what i'd expect from people trying to make gog more civil and a better place to be. :)

viranimus: Now as for your intent I do not really get why that narrow cross section of opinions is really that relevant for you. I mean technically I can qualify and be disqualified based on how you evaluate it. But what bearing would those opinions really have on the real question you are asking?
As for the question, Investment is always wise. I will say as someone who owns multiple motorcycles that yes there is a "culture" around it. However because of the culture of modification that surrounds biking, you will find that buying Harley does not mean you are a biker. There are plenty other good manufacturers out there like Victory, Indian, Ducati, BMW as well as more indie shops like Confederated or true custom shops. That part of the culture the build of the bike is irrelevant because you could just as easily build a bike from parts of HD, Triumph, Kawasaki, hand crafted, ect and still have it be relevant because it illustrates your knowledge of the machine and your capacity to build.
Point is there is not a single thing in the world wrong with "jap" bikes. You will find many bikers own one or two. A biker does not focus on the machine, much like the old adage a poor craftsman is one who blames his tools. What makes a true biker is the knowledge and that is irrespective of the machine.
Focusing on a name brand is what fake, weekend warriors who day job as dentists do. If you are doing that you will find that Harley is overpriced because its a status symbol in that regard.
If you are just getting into it, what you should really do is buy you a cheaper cruiser. I personally love Kawasaki Vulcans, and older Triumph bikes. Vulcan for overall build quality vs how cheap/easy the parts are. and Triumph for manufacturing quality. Get a bike you can learn from. How to ride and how to maintain. More importantly change your outlook and do not give the first fuck about what others think of it. That is what true bikers do because a real biker will ride anything and often has multiple bikes they use for a variety of reasons.
Now, all THAT said, what you really should do is bypass all of that and if you are looking to invest, invest into something more stable. Home/land is always good. Starting your own business has higher long term gains if you are competent. Investment portfolios in stock can be very lucrative albeit it highly risky. But ultimately the best investment would always be in ones self. So I suggest learning skills that you can use to better yourself. Go to school, Learn to do something like become a paramedic, Pilot, etc. Vocational training for things like blacksmithing or other trades so you can start doing things like homesteading. Invest in your future, not in someone elses past.
Ultimately do what brings you joy or prosperity. Dont pay attention to the opinions of others because at the end of the day other people will either just want to exploit your success or drag you down to their level. So why bother?
+1 and a pretty good answer to this thread. I wish more people replied like this in similar threads and less like they were all back in high school.As for the question, Investment is always wise. I was just venting a bit and not trying to single anyone out....fwiw.
Tbh joking is fine if done a bit and if it doesn't derail a thread too much, but to do it to a high degree to users some here dislike/etc seems like stuff people should outgrow in HS.
To me, this forum is just steam forums classy edition with a veneer of civility. If you are accepted more you get more ontopic and civil replies, and if you are not then you get people coming in and making silly replies for the entire thread or close to it....akin to how people treat popular vs. unpopular kids in HS.
