Well, since the First Decade, my REAL, one and only LOVE is truly "decommissioned" in win7, i recently rediscovered i already owned C&C 3 with expansion. And i even had them both redeemed in Origin. Since i cannot play my most beloved games, i was itching to try 3... But is it like Red Alert 3, with obligatory Co-op, infantile humor, stupid game mechanisms compared to the predecessors, etc? I know the graphics and engine are similar to red alert 3, but is the mechanisms and "atmosphere" alike, too?

As much as I remember Tiberium Wars + Kane's Wrath are oriented to classical RTS playstyle - no forced co op. The game is more like older C&C series and not as silly/cartoonish as Red Alert 3. Its basically something like Tiberium Sun in a 3D environment.

Great! Installation started, then! I can't wait to see those Kane cinematics, lol! :D
No it's far more serious and traditional compared to Red Alert 3, which for some reason was made silly from RA2 onwards. The atmosphere is a lot more like Tiberian Sun, although not quite as dark and gloomy.
Yeah Tiberium (Tiberian!) Wars + Kane's Wrath is a pure sequel to Tiberium (Tiberian!) Sun. Proper base builing etc. Great games!
I am actually playing it these days.

Nothing like RA3 in tone and most gameplay.

It shines with bad AI, awful pathfinding and mostly scripted, well visible, computer behaviour in campaigns.
I don't dig graphic presentation much either.
Yeah, I am really "enjoying" this game. :-)
