This one was probably asked an unhealthy amount of times, so I apologize, but I still failed to find the answer.
I want to gift a friend one of the bundles currently on sale, but, while one of the games is on his wishlist, the other isn't, so I'm not sure if he has it already or not. What happens if he has it? Will it be lost or will he be able to take only the one he lacks and the code would be useable for somebody else? How does it work?

When you are about to redeem a code with multiple games, you can choose which games to redeem and which to leave alone. The ones that weren't redeemed can then be redeemed by other people.

But I have heard it works differently for bundles? It would make sense, since you get full discount for buying all the games in the bundle.
This is where I read about it: https://www.gog.com/forum/general/qyestuib_about_hasbro_collection/post7
However it doesn't mentions what happens if you already own something contained in the code.

Lord_Kane is either mistaken or has outdated info.

If, for instance, you want Hearts of Iron 3+DLC Collection, but not Hearts of Iron 1 or 2, you can buy the bundle as a gift, input the code in the redeem code section and you can choose to select Hearts of Iron 3+DLC Collection and leave Hearts of Iron 1 and 2 in the code. Let me show you an example of a bundled code.

Edit: Attached image below. See those checkboxes in the right? You tick the games you want and click continue. The selected games will be added to your account and someone else will still be able to use the unticked ones.
