The expansions are already merged with the base games, so you don't need to download anything else other than the games' installers. As for how to access them, I imagine that they are extra scenarios that can be accessed from the main menu, but I'm not absolutely sure about that, as I don't own the games.

The expansions are already merged with the base games, so you don't need to download anything else. As for how to access them, I imagine that they are extra scenarios that can be accessed from the games' menu, but I don't have the games to be absolutely sure.
Yeah that does vary depending on the game. Some need a separate DL.
Well, can't say how it is for the Anno games you mentioned, but for Anno 1701, it was just one download, but after installing I had two seperate start menu shortcuts, one for the base game and one for the expansion. So perhaps check if it is the same for you?

Expansion content is in the installer no separate download required for both anno 1503 and 1602.
